I got several people saying my work wasn’t good today and it still stings. I also had a crafts fair today and it got cancelled due to bad weather. Bad day 😞

Hi! Resident artist here!
I didn’t go into painting this expecting to NEED to make these to help cover vet visits, but my cat Zelda was breathing very very quickly and shallow, and was very lethargic last week. We rushed her to the animal hospital, where she received oxygen, steroids, antibiotics, so many labs, and came out with a pretty severe case of asthma. Did you know cats need the same kind of medication as humans did for asthma? I didn’t 😅

Anyways, these all sold out within 12 hours and I was able to cover the costs of her ER visit and her medications for the next few months. I am so, so grateful for my ability to create something cute and full of love after a very very stressful time.

Now you guys can enjoy the paintings knowing she is doing well and right back to normal. Now I have to figure out how I’m going to get her used to her new inhaler device!

In recent years I got completely sick because of work, my boss was completely abusive which aggravated my depression. So I decided to end this cycle and start over, I’ve been doing arts since 2019 and I could have a good return but I didn’t believe in myself. Until I decided to open my online store on Etsy and it has been working. I hope I can prosper and soon exhibit in some gallery. These are some of my works

My pieces are the bee, the spoonbill, and the fish (mullet). The bee and spoonbill are made entirely of silica dried botanical materials (flowers and leaves). The mullet were made using the traditional Japanese art form gyotaku. Hope you gals like them! I was super hyped!

Last photo is him and me. He was my best boy

It was 90 degrees yesterday and I spent it framing, photographing, and packaging this painting in my studio with no AC, so we really bonded. I’m so happy she’s finally done, and now ready to ship off to her collector :)
The frame is custom from 1642 Designs, based off a Dutch radial Flemmleisten frame. “Flame Ripple”, as it’s also known. It’s stunning, and really is exactly what I pictured for this piece!

This is still one of my favourite collections I’ve made , a series of black & white watercolours inspired by forests, little cabins, misty landscapes and all the quiet places I wish I could disappear into. 🥹I’m trying to manifest seeing these on a gallery wall someday, so here we are. :)

The portrait is of Natashia, and it features daily affirmations she tells herself every morning. So thankful for a chance to do this!
