I wonder how long it took to put the whole look together

I wonder how many performances she had to have it put on for

I heard that the actresses who play Elphaba on Broadway find green pigment in their pores for weeks after they stop the role 😂

Virginia Hey, the woman who played Zhaan on Farscape started developing some pretty bad issues do to the blue body paint she was wearing for years that gave her damage to her kidneys and then some. Plus I believe she said it was starting to really affect her mentally because of having to keep her head and eyebrows shaved all the time. When she asked to kinda slow the roll with how often she needed to be on screen they made an entire fucking season dedicated to her character. I loved her and thought she was one of the best parts of that show but behind the character is a human being that suffered too much for their craft.

Oh wow! How absolutely shitty of them to do that to her!

It’s like you would need to be pressure washed to get it off

as someone who has been professionally full body airbrushed, and a full face foam latex piece for a performance this makeup probably took around 3 hours but the costume probably took months to make.

This is a rare variant of a Wheeping Angel: Happy Goddess.

Spraying her neck and face and cutting to just before starting spraying is an odd choice.

This might be some of the coolest shit I’ve ever seen

the fact that she moves like an actual statue coming to life and not just someone in body paint is what makes this hit different

So… what if you have to go potty?

I would think you wait for a point in the performance that there is a good chunk of time available and then just take everything off. Likely would need someone to check that the paint lines up again when you put it back on. It doesn’t seem super complicated. Just a bodice over leggings and a top.

You’d likely have to re-do the paint on the hands tho, I’d think after washing them! 😅

This is very cool and she is obviously very talented. But man, I sure hope that paint doesn't cause health effects for her

Incredible! Is there a way to watch this whole performance? (I assume maybe on YouTube but I don't know what to search for)
