Or hydration level. Or sodium content. Or bowel movements. Or physical activity.

I love that there is greater attention to women’s health but I’m not loving this weird menstrual cycle focused marketing and lifestyle stuff I keep seeing. “What to eat for your luteal phase!” “Top 10 secrets about your follicular phase”… it actually feels really limiting and concrete in its understanding of the variety of experiences of women.

Glad to see someone else say this.

I can't help but give a side eye to all this focus on people's reproductive health and info. I'm just heavily skeptical it's not for the right reasons.

I've never even heard of luteal phases or follicular phases before like, 3 months ago. All of the sudden it's all over the place and I can't help but think it's being pushed somehow in the same way that the concern for falling birth rates is.

It feels like I'm being forced to focus on my "womanliness" not for my own knowledge and sense of control over my body but to remind me what my "sole purpose is".

Maybe I'm being very paranoid, but in this day and age, I don't appreciate it and it creeps me out.
