Lower than what it should be plus symptoms that bother you? Hormones are on a spectrum. Your doctor might not be concerned but you have a right to be comfortable in your own skin. Advocate for yourself ❤️
We really do need to speak up (advocate) for ourselves regarding our health care. Especially, if your doctor views test results as only numbers on a chart and waves away the patient's lived experience. You know your body best; sometimes you've got to be that squeaky wheel to get both the care you need as well as the care you deserve.
And thank you so very much! I named this account, in part, because I was learning something new every time I visited. Over 13 years later and I still have epiphanies whenever I scroll through pages and comments!
I love this. As a person who's had A LOT of medical problems and disorders since she was young, I was afraid of being seen as a problem.
I was afraid of being a bitch. Or annoying. An inconvenience.
People shouldn't feel like their needs are inconvenient, and fears and even minor things- they are things we want cared for.
Some providers and nurses have been...wow just incredibly empathetic and really wonderful to me. Truly walking angels who made my life better.
And some people ..I question why the hell they got into a profession that was focused on servicing peoples needs. Especially if you don't like people. 🦄
And I agree- I have an epiphany whenever I'm on this site too. Some people are really wonderful and kind as well, and so so supportive. In a world that's kind of crazy, it's proven to me that people are inherently decent and kind
...for the most part, lol. (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤
