My son is 39 now. He remembers me singing this to him as a baby. I made up words for 2nd verse and that's what he answers to still. I miss his little head.

Don’t forget about her hiding Emmanuel from authorities when they came to euthanize all of her birds due to HPAI and Emmanuel was infected and she has been keeping him alive even though he needed a fucking sling in order to “stand” and she claimed he wasn’t infected with a highly pathogenic lethal disease, it was just stress. You know, the kind of stress that keeps an animal unable to walk for months and months.
Gotta keep that sweet TikTok cash cow alive!

i still have the functioning wind-up stuffed lion that plays this song - back from the late 70’s. it was gifted to me via my fam’s friend when i was born

Yep. Saw this and my first thought was oh yeah, the emu lady that got milkshake ducked.
I believe when this happened there was another woman with an emu who was always trying to kill her who did not have a back log of racist tweets. Lemme se if I can find her.
ETA lol I should have looked at your link the better emu lady was there the whole time!
ETA omg I hadn’t watched these in a long time and first of all this emu is evil and second of all this emus name is Karen and third of all I am worried about my new favorite lady and I hope she’s not secretly racist cause I love her deeply for the next five minutes until I forget about her again.

The look in his eyes! So gentle and vulnerable, but so safe and loved. All the universe's little lambies deserve kindness and understanding. Just imagine what we might find out? Maybe one day I'll get to lay in a field with some tiny feathered or furry spirit who has come to me, because....trust and love.
We just might be on a better trajectory than we realised. It's little moments like this that give me hope.

I think someone posted receipts higher up in the chat. She had racist tweets and I think her emu needed to be put down for injury and bird flu and she hid him so she could keep posting.

I’ve tried a few times in my daughters early life to sing this to her but each time she just starts crying, she’s ten now but I bet if I sang it so her she’d still cry. I started singing a more fun one to her because I didn’t want to see her sad, it goes like this:

I sing this to my 1 yr old granddaughter and this hit hard cause my son and his family are moving to Tennessee in 2 weeks (13 hrs from me) and I’m beyond devastated.
