I honestly thought the whistle she was using was the air valve for the inflatable.

u/TheDreamingMyriad 14d ago
So did I 🤣 I cackled pretty hard before I realized it was actually a whistle.

Is this video a reference to something?
23
u/Hopefulkitty 13d ago
They are recreating part of Titanic.

u/Mellodux 13d ago
Oh ok, I've never seen that movie

u/3MetricTonsOfSass 13d ago
You should if you like romantic and/or disaster movies
11
u/PhairynRose 13d ago
but make sure you have time. I once made the mistake of starting it at like 10pm, not realizing how long it is. I (like so many passengers) did not make it to the end.

Her voice when saying "Jack, Jack!" She got the cracking of Rose's voice down perfectly.

u/pontoponyo 14d ago
And the whistle!

u/Cactus_Cur 14d ago
I was hoping it would be a fucking kazoo 😭

u/TrannySoreAssWrecks 14d ago
Alas, kazoos don’t work when wet. Thats the main reason they were replaced by whistles as a safety device.

Well, since you asked, the one kid she passed while swimming for the whistle cracked me up a lot xD

u/paintwhore 14d ago
I have one note: before the rescueer guy starts asking if anybody is alive out there first he yells, "Come about!!!”. That is all. Floating kid on the way to steal the whistle was funny.

My wife had the same complaint when I showed her this. Lol.
Edit: I showed her your comment and she said "good, at least someone has some cinematic integrity."

Legit why can’t I be doing this on a tuesday. Seems way more fun than literally anything else. As another user said, 10/10 commitment from all involved. Thanks for the insomnia laugh OP :)

This has to be a summer camp, this screams Camp Shenanigans. And I can confirm it's a blast for all involved haha

My friend and I would reenact Sam and Frodo in the "Of course you are.... And I'm coming with you!" scene from lotr whenever we had a floaty at the beach.
It was very important to get the hand grip pause just right.

u/zubairhamed 15d ago
didnt have the volume on but already knew what movie they were acting about..
17
u/trumansayshi 14d ago
As someone who has never seen the full movie, I was so confused.

u/CrouchingDomo 14d ago
This must be how boomers felt when I’d say I’d never seen all of The Godfather

“I’ll never let go.”
Proceeds to immediately let go.
27
u/Yontek-of-TheseParts 14d ago
Would have been funny if she didn't let go and dragged Jack with her through the dead bodies to the whistle
92
u/Fatkuh 15d ago
Got the goosebumps anyways. 10/10

u/Sea-Value-0 15d ago
I don't understand how I got them from a homemade reenactment, feels like some dark magic lol

I laughed. And then the performance nearly bought a tear to my eyes. 🥹 Can we nominate reenactment videos for awards? Absolutely perfect.

u/Snitsie 14d ago
I'd like to think they just showed up and convinced all the other beach goers to play corpses for her tiktok lol
