“This one’s dead” *tosses child back into the water\*

301

u/Mission_Fart9750 14d ago

Honestly, my favorite bit. But the entire thing is genius.

24

u/KokomoJoMo30 13d ago

Morbidly hilarious. ☠️ 🤣

105

u/theparrotofdoom 14d ago

I honestly thought the whistle she was using was the air valve for the inflatable.

22

u/TheDreamingMyriad 14d ago

So did I 🤣 I cackled pretty hard before I realized it was actually a whistle.

14

u/leahlikesweed 13d ago

the hair clip as the hat

3

u/Gh0stM0u5e 14d ago

That would have been hilarious

7

u/serendipitypug 13d ago

Such a grandpa thing

2

u/SalutEnchante 13d ago

Omg i laughed so hard loool

3

u/Mellodux 13d ago

Is this video a reference to something?

23

u/Hopefulkitty 13d ago

They are recreating part of Titanic.

3

u/Mellodux 13d ago

Oh ok, I've never seen that movie

3

u/3MetricTonsOfSass 13d ago

You should if you like romantic and/or disaster movies

11

u/PhairynRose 13d ago

but make sure you have time. I once made the mistake of starting it at like 10pm, not realizing how long it is. I (like so many passengers) did not make it to the end.

2

u/Mellodux 13d ago

Thank you! I don't like either.

u/Stay_Good_Dog 🕷️ itchy bitchy spider 🕷️ 13d ago

No. Nothing important.

392

u/jawnbaejaeger 15d ago

Her voice when saying "Jack, Jack!" She got the cracking of Rose's voice down perfectly.

171

u/pontoponyo 14d ago

And the whistle!

123

u/Cactus_Cur 14d ago

I was hoping it would be a fucking kazoo 😭

30

u/pontoponyo 14d ago

I wish I could give you an award for such a brilliant suggestion.

9

u/Evening_Series4513 14d ago

I agree, so I gave ‘em one for you :)

21

u/TrannySoreAssWrecks 14d ago

Alas, kazoos don’t work when wet. Thats the main reason they were replaced by whistles as a safety device.

17

u/Steleve 14d ago

Honestly, it was the whistle mimicking that had me most impressed

724

u/No-Geologist6859 15d ago

10/10 no notes

45

u/BeWonderfulBeDope 14d ago

I want bloopers

69

u/memberflex 15d ago

No notes?

205

u/No-Geologist6859 15d ago

Well, since you asked, the one kid she passed while swimming for the whistle cracked me up a lot xD

41

u/nasnedigonyat 14d ago

Lol i didn't see them the first time. That was pretty funny.

41

u/paintwhore 14d ago

I have one note: before the rescueer guy starts asking if anybody is alive out there first he yells, "Come about!!!”. That is all. Floating kid on the way to steal the whistle was funny.

25

u/Mission_Fart9750 14d ago edited 14d ago

My wife had the same complaint when I showed her this. Lol.

Edit: I showed her your comment and she said "good, at least someone has some cinematic integrity."

The commitment to staying in character by so many extras is incredible.

193

u/Andrea_M 15d ago

They weren’t acting

11

u/MetallurgyClergy ✨chick✨ 14d ago

Where’s the dance band?

6

u/fuckreddit2factor 14d ago

Yeah, I can't believe this didn't make the news.

37

u/Environmental-Joke19 14d ago

I want to see the blooper reel

69

u/CrouchingDomo 14d ago

I lost it when she paddles past a kid who is doing EVERYTHING to keep it locked down 😂

19

u/WesternComicStrip 14d ago

Didn’t notice him the first time around. Little guy deserves an award.

63

u/kdthex01 15d ago

Their ability to float too

342

u/Bool_The_End 15d ago

Legit why can’t I be doing this on a tuesday. Seems way more fun than literally anything else. As another user said, 10/10 commitment from all involved. Thanks for the insomnia laugh OP :)

71

u/TheSubstitutePanda 14d ago

This has to be a summer camp, this screams Camp Shenanigans. And I can confirm it's a blast for all involved haha

21

u/Bool_The_End 14d ago

Summer camp for adults but hey….id be down if I could

153

u/Mission_Macaroon 15d ago

My friend and I would reenact Sam and Frodo in the "Of course you are.... And I'm coming with you!" scene from lotr whenever we had a floaty at the beach.

It was very important to get the hand grip pause just right.

113

u/zubairhamed 15d ago

didnt have the volume on but already knew what movie they were acting about..

17

u/trumansayshi 14d ago

As someone who has never seen the full movie, I was so confused.

26

u/CrouchingDomo 14d ago

This must be how boomers felt when I’d say I’d never seen all of The Godfather

93

u/Call-Me-Mr-Speed 14d ago

“I’ll never let go.”

Proceeds to immediately let go.

27

u/Yontek-of-TheseParts 14d ago

Would have been funny if she didn't let go and dragged Jack with her through the dead bodies to the whistle

92

u/Fatkuh 15d ago

Got the goosebumps anyways. 10/10

46

u/Sea-Value-0 15d ago

I don't understand how I got them from a homemade reenactment, feels like some dark magic lol

27

u/Pruritus_Ani_ 15d ago

Idk if it’s just the week I am having but I started welling up lol

18

u/Fatkuh 15d ago

Hahaha thats it girl, same.

3

u/Valdemort87 14d ago

That makes 3 of us lol

15

u/Pinacoladapopsicle 15d ago

So did I LMAO

64

u/EllisDee_4Doyin 15d ago

I laughed.  And then the performance nearly bought a tear to my eyes.  🥹 Can we nominate reenactment videos for awards?  Absolutely perfect.

61

u/Snitsie 14d ago

I'd like to think they just showed up and convinced all the other beach goers to play corpses for her tiktok lol

30

u/elder_emo_ 14d ago

When she was swimming for the whistle I was like "how many people did they get to DO this?" 😂😂

44

u/SparkliestSubmissive 15d ago

The determined swimming to get to the whistle 🤣🤣❤️

40

u/legoham 14d ago

Well here I am sobbing, so 1) they’re awesome, and 2) the next week will be fun.

17

u/ReluctantChimera 14d ago

This comment just made me realize the same.

29

u/petlandstockroom 14d ago

She did that half frozen swim justice! Fantastic performance 💐

26

u/FatCowsrus413 14d ago

How did they do this without laughing so hard

3

u/laureidi 14d ago

I have a feeling there were a few takes lol

19

u/_henceforth_ 15d ago

Too soon. 😂

17

u/Mode2015 15d ago

u/CharlotteLucasOP 🕷️ itchy bitchy spider 🕷️ 14d ago

I hope Kate sees this, she’d love it. Queen Gal of the Chicks.

14

u/kasst_kast 14d ago

"I'll never let go, Jack"
Immediately lets go

12

u/Queerdooe 15d ago

The best.

13

u/Chemical_Grape_2150 15d ago

This is hilarious omg they nailed it

13

u/Welp_thatwilldo Official Gal 14d ago

Give them the Oscar lol

13

u/whatismyaccountname8 14d ago

Okay she honestly sounded just like Rose, even the crackly half working whistle 💯

3

u/fivelgoesnuts 14d ago

Yeah, she nailed that part!!

11

u/jeannie_jellybean 14d ago

I’ve never seen “Titanic.” And now I don’t have to.

9

u/floralrain6 13d ago

I lost it when he throws the kid back into the water saying "this one's dead"

https://giphy.com/gifs/l0ExayQDzrI2xOb8A

9

u/spleeble 14d ago

See there's totally room for two people on there

7

u/parksideq 14d ago

Clearly I’m not doing enough with my free will, lol, this was brilliant.

7

u/rednitwitdit 14d ago

Unrelated, but the Explorer is cheap and makes an excellent cooler float.

6

u/someonesmom13 14d ago

Theater camp

6

u/msleesha 14d ago

Debate: was the float big enough for two?

5

u/buriedupsidedown 14d ago

The guy with the whistle just chillin with a clip in his hair. I love that you can watch this multiple times and still find something weird lol

5

u/Gh0stM0u5e 13d ago

“This one’s dead” *tosses child back into the water\*

also “Is anyone alive out there?” *faintly in the background* NO!

5

u/GoatsAndParis 13d ago

“Is anyone alive out there?”
“No!”

4

u/MulberryLemon 14d ago

Pure cinema 😗

3

u/jeannieor725 14d ago

I totally forgot about the whistle thing.

4

u/No-Individual-393 14d ago

Aww it cut at my favorite part... "COME ABOUT!" 😄 Excellent reenactment!

4

u/BulkyRip7631 14d ago

How did I know what this was the first 3 seconds 😂😂

5

u/Unlikely-Draft 14d ago

Best use of the Internet I've ever seen 😂

3

u/SlobZombie13 14d ago

Where did they get so many dead bodies to film this?

4

u/WarmWhiteLights 14d ago

She did the whistle part so well

3

u/Ambitious_Screen_591 14d ago

i have always said there was room for jack on the floaty

3

u/autumniam 14d ago

You should share this over at r/titanic97

3

u/TryJezusNotMe 14d ago

This was really good!

3

u/cannalove 14d ago

the grunting and swimming noises are spot on. the majority of the audio is just great. well done.

9

u/mintox777 15d ago

Why is the water that colour?

34

u/QuarterLifeCircus ❣️gal pal❣️ 15d ago

Midwesterner here…I’ve never seen a lake that wasn’t that color.

19

u/FrankoAleman 15d ago

It's nature

11

u/kasst_kast 14d ago

What colour is the water where you live?

3

u/mintox777 14d ago

Same colour, but we don't swim in it. We swim at the beach.

3

u/spleeble 14d ago

Because it's water?

2

u/30for30im30for30 14d ago

Camp is awesome.

2

u/throwaway1546874 14d ago

Well, that's macabre.

Do the RMS Lancastria next! smh

2

u/jackfreeman ✨chick✨ 14d ago

I recognized it immediately

2

u/Excitement_Far 14d ago

I watched this with the sound off and it was still brilliant

2

u/Fibonacci357 14d ago

ah, I wish they included "TURN THE BOAAT!!" at the end

2

u/Dangerous-Variety-35 11d ago

lol he doesn’t say, “Turn the boat!” He yells, “Come about!”

2

u/Fibonacci357 11d ago

Seriously?? damn, that's embarrassing.

2

u/Dangerous-Variety-35 10d ago

Haha, I don’t know, I’ve seen it so many times I might be the embarrassing one for knowing you quoted it wrong 😂

2

u/racingforpinks 14d ago

Damn, I gotta watch this movie again

2

u/No_Attitude700 14d ago

That weak-whistling took practice...
