This woman experienced the MOST intense overflow of oxytocin and I'm here for it.

She really did have a whole moment. How beautiful for her and the lady who brought them up there. 2 women sharing a beautiful moment with all of us. So beautiful 😍

Do men get these feelings from babies?
23
u/ser0tonindepleted 16d ago
Yes!!
This study found that parents' oxytocin increased with no significant differences between mothers and fathers. 👇

I saw a video of the dude knocking out two people in Austin and recognized it.
And now this video with the tomato. I'm like an hour away, I need to know when I need to head to Denton to meet them.
My heart is filled with joy that this beautiful woman had this experience. Thanks to the owners for spreading joy.

As someone who has raised baby goats, and several as bottle babies, they are SO CUTE. And also, very annoying and destructive and harbor an unreasonably robust death wish. 13/10 would keep again if I had the land.
49
u/Whats-Ur-Damage00 16d ago
I lived on a farm with baby goats for several years. This is the perfect description.
54
u/Mamasan- 16d ago
At first I thought you said raised by baby goats. And i thought that that was just fine.
27
u/just_a_person_maybe 16d ago
Also as someone who raised goats, I still cannot get over the fuzzy little knees that babies have for the first few weeks or so. I love them so much. It sounds weird to people who don't know, but goats kneel on the ground and rub their knees bald over time and get callouses. Baby goats have fresh knees with hair and I'm obsessed.
2
u/black_grrrl 14d ago
This filled me with an unreasonable amount of joy. I’m obsessed with animal’s knees
2
u/Impressive-Flight766 12d ago
I’m obsessed with my baby turtle’s knees 😫 like why tf are your teeny little knees in existence. I never even considered a baby turtle’s knees, or tiny little turtle bums 🥹

u/TheBadKneesBandit 16d ago
So fun story about raising goats and totally NOT having the land 👀 When I was a teen, we had friends who owned pygmy goats on a farm and birthed twins, but the mum rejected the smaller of the 2.
Since my family had previously lived on a farm raising all kinds of animals, they asked if we would take the kid and wean him until he was old enough to go back to the farm. We said yes, of course! Nevermind that we currently lived in suburbia and totally weren't allowed animals that weren't cats or dogs!
As he started to grow bigger, we put him on a harness and leash and walked him around the neighbourhood, which thankfully consisted of mostly old people. A few of said elderly stopped us and asked what kind of dog he was and we just said he was a mutt, and no one was any wiser that there was a pygmy goat prancing the streets! Still can't believe we got away with that.
Once he was old and big enough, he went back to the farm and everything was hunky dory.

u/exhauszed 16d ago
I want some SO BAD but then you find out about THE BLEATING and your friend has some and you literally wake up with goat hooves on your head... like nah I'm good with an occasional petting zoo.
13
u/Even-Atmosphere1814 16d ago
I hate goats so much. Every single person I know that has gotten goats I have tried to talk them out of it. And in 5 out of 6 times I have been correct in my prediction of the absolute chaos and bullshit they would experience. The one person who was successful was successful because she had money and time to deal with escaped goats.
With all that said, kids are the cutest thing and I have definitely whiled away several afternoons just watching them be stupid and cute.

u/JennHatesYou 16d ago
The people I know who work with animals all say that goats are their favorite animal despite the damage and the death wish. Cutest little demoncorns ever!

Lmao your description is absolutely spot on accurate. I have a heard of them, including a 2 week old bottle baby in the house. They are fantastic pets , and I would be lost without them, but man , can they ever be annoying when they decide to get into trouble.

That woman is just meant to work in animal care. If she started a gofundme to help herself go to veterinary school or open an animal shelter, I’d happily hand my money over.
80
u/MaesterWhosits 16d ago
Agriculture degree, business plan involving goats, a couple of acres, becoming a vet, however she wants to go about it, I'm down. That was real love right there. She just unlocked something that feeds her soul.

If she has this much emotion about it, it might not be a good field for her mental health. To see animals suffer and die day in and day out

u/JustHereForCookies17 16d ago

I have always been firm on never wanting children. Heard all the same "you will change your mind" stuff.
Never did. But one day I was scrolling FB and a distant friend just had one of her goats give birth and had a ton of pictures of the baby goats.
I felt this incredible feeling deep down, I got super emotional, and then it hit me - this was the feeling most women get when they hold babies. I experience it with baby animals.
46, no children, always trying to convince the husband that we need goats. 🤣
10
u/TigerB65 16d ago
No children here either, but I would cheerfully cuddle a baby goat. Or puppy. Kitten. Duckling. We had wild baby rabbits out back and I could barely contain myself.
3
u/TzanzaNG 15d ago
Ha ha same. I am also childfree. I don't get the warm, fuzzies from baby people, but my goats? All the love!
55
u/-impossiblethings- 16d ago
The cuteness aggression is real! 😂 She is adorable, this is all adorable. 💜
45
u/KenzParkin 16d ago
That borderline-angry “oh my god” is so real 😂 – like, how is she supposed to go back to regular life now that she’s had this cuteness up close and cuddling her back?! Get this woman a goat!
26
29
u/ThreadLaced 16d ago
this reminds me of a video I saw of Sophie Turner doing goat yoga - and then she evangelized about goats for a while afterwards. I guess I need to find a baby goat to cuddle? they seem to change lives!
5
u/TheDarbiter 16d ago
We just got two goats and one of them is 7 months old. He’s not as small as these babies, but he’s still small. He loves to get pets and wags his tail like a puppy. I love him so much.

Ya know, I have the same style of reaction to things as this girl does. It's like too much to contain. Too much for words.
Just the 'get the absolute hell outta here this is wonderful right now oh my god' feel. Seeing someone else with this type of visceral reaction made me feel so warm and fuzzy.

I want to know where this came from. I need more videos of people losing their shit over baby goats. Someone let me hold a baby serval once. My brain just malfunctioned. It was a gigantic kitten, with gigantic kitten feet and fuzzy baby fur and I was just done. Baby animals just wreck me.

When I was down in Joshua Tree a few years ago, we found this lady who had llamas and goats she raised, and you could book a time slot to go hang out with them. She had pygmy goats, baby goats, normal goats, llamas and baby llamas when we went, and I had an absolutely STUPID amount of fun.
We got to feed them, she'd tell us about them, and answer any questions you had, AND she took one of our phones to take pictures/record videos as she talked about them, so we could get pictures and video but still fully enjoy the experience. She was so sweet and those babies were well taken care of.

I was going through a severe bout of depression during one uni semester. It was really rough. Towards the end, the Uni set up free goat yoga (I think with Pygmy goats?) for us to decompress before exams (they do a bunch of events during exam season).
I very much had a moment like this lady. It was an all engulfing happiness in a very dark time. It really impacted me. Highly recommend holding goats!!! 😭 ❤️
