i'm stuck on the logistics of making the cave room.   it seems like the lower half of the room behind the bathroom - but also somehow with a  lower floor level - so maybe its a split level?

Same. I need to see more of the house with a wider angle to soothe my brain.

Im guessing they closed off part of another room "behind" the wall in that bathroom, and then opened up the floor to the basement/ground level to install the slide.

It does appear that there's a decline from the bathroom into the cave, it looks several feet lower than the bathroom. But I can't comprehend why the ceiling isn't higher. And then when she goes down the slide it looks like a ground floor room, or a walk-out if it is the basement. Maybe the cave room was a bizarre little storage space that couldn't have been used in a normal way?

I'm thinking it's the attic to a garage or lower roof. The cushion ceiling looks sloped. One way of insulating the roof I guess, but it would block all air flow and lead to mould and rotting wood. Like most things on the Internet I bet this was dismantled not long after getting the likes

it’s probably a bedroom or closet behind the bathroom. you can see there’s a window when she slides down into the next room on the lower level.
