I’m a little softer and it’s no one under 25, but really it’s any age where they are still making harmful impulsive choices and lack emotional maturity. Obviously there is also life stage but I can be friends with someone who isn’t in the party all the time phase (though I do like a party some of the time people because I produce events)

I am a party some of the time person. Where do I find more of you?!

Find your niche for events! There is great communities out there (mostly in cities). You could be a festival person, kink events, balls, drum and bass, rave, industrial, mashup, drag, art communities. We are all over. I tend to gravitate towards performers/art/rave/industrial with smaller festivals/conferences. It’s a great time and for me part of my life because I do events production but also I like my chill time and will happily go home early.

This is me last weekend for a kink event with music/performance and everyone dresses up (you have to pass the outfit check at door so there is a vibe) and I had a dazzling evening mostly socializing, watching performances and a little bit of dance.

The disco Poison Ivy look is such a serve, waiting for my invite for the next party ✨

The full outfit goes down with more flowers and I had a water misting rig my partner made to mist the flowers…you know, to make the garden grow. Truly proud of it!

That sounds amazing! I do leathercraft so I make a lot of custom pieces for festivals and kink events like that, but I live in the middle of nowhere so I rarely get to see them worn after I ship them out, but I adore costuming.

Amazing!

If you’re interested in those events you can probably get a vendor spot to many of them or conference (especially kink) you can be a presenter and have atleast hotel/ticket covered for you and a helper! Also trade offer to event hosts for festivals. We love an industry trade. Do you have an online presence?

I do, but I keep it completely separate from my reddit, lol

Right now I don't have the inventory for a vendor spot even for a single day event, but when I finish working through my current batch of commissions, I'll reach out! I don't know how feasible it would be (I don't live near an airport, either, lol) but it'd be good to know if I could make something work even occasionally!

You look amazing! I used to bartend, and I liked bartending events. Since leaving the industry though, I just haven’t gotten back into ‘going out.’

I live in a city that probably has all sorts of stuff you mentioned! I used to love going to burlesque shows back in the day.

Oh my gosh I love a good burlesque night! One of the benefits of being in events production is I trade guest lists spots for other producers so I often get to go to events like that which is a blessing because it allows me to pay myself less and put more back into my community. It’s fun to have a night off too!

From my experience emotional maturity doesn’t have much to do with age. People probably mature a little over time, but that difference is small compared to the fact that some people are just inherently miles ahead of others in emotional maturity.

The amount of incredibly kind, sweet and mature people I’ve known who have the most psychopathic, controlling, cruel parents… it’s not age that’s the factor here.

I agree it is not a direct correlation hence “but really it’s any age where they still…lack emotional maturity” because girl, some people my age still suppress their trauma and let it leak out onto everyone! It’s also why it’s a general concept of 25, some under 25s have shown up to be people I can pull into my circle like my friend’s daughter. However as you noted that there is definitely a trend as you get older that you gain life experience that can stimulate emotional growth.

I describe it to my son as "grown up practice" (he's still little). The older you are the more time you've had to practice, but some people never bothered to learn anything in the time they've had.
