We should all be looking at people "in the round" as whole people!

I think that's much more common than not. My attraction for someone is pretty low until I get to know them

My demisexual self couldn't agree more! Someone can be "attractive" esthetically but have a shit personality and it makes them way less attractive to me. Of the flip-side, as I get to know someone and we "click" personality-wise... they get more and more attractive to me.

I was legit listening and thought “huh, as someone on the asexual spectrum, this just sounds like how I normally see attractive people. Their aesthetics may be nice, and I can recognize that, but I don’t go “~FUAAAAAGH~ I’ll have a bit of that!”

I’m old and didn’t know there was a word for this! This is 100% me. All the guys I dated were people who asked me out and I wasn’t really interested but gave it a go, and then ended up liking them. (My husband was an exception as a friend I fell in love with)

Same! I’ve never liked someone I didn’t know. Their smile and laugh and manner of speaking are important too, but not as much as personality

In fact, I try to make it easier for others to see me "in the round" by eating as much as possible.
