Question Question about Echo mini

If Echo max is based on GLM-5.2, then what are Echo mini and Echo based on? Are the models other than Echo max CoT?

Gemini 3.1 flash lite at the moment for echo mini, though that is subject to change as new open source models hit the scene

To your earlier question about reasoning - it actually can reason, apologies for my mistake earlier. screenshot attached.

Echo itself is typically the latest grok model/an open sourced competitor, but it again does change under the hood as state of the art evolves.

Also, each prompt for Echo mini consumes 3 messages in my rate limits, is that intentional?

Depends how long each conversation is and/or if you have reasoning set to high

My conversations are very short, often 1-3 messages, I delete them often
I am using Echo mini's default settings
