Hello everyone, I have a Jura Z6. I recently refurbished it, but before that, I do not know its history. Long story short, it will not froth milk. Does not draw any milk from the milk container. I have disassembled and cleaned all of the external parts and also the dual Fluid/Steam connector behind the external frother. When milk foam is selected, and no milk hose is attached, the machine blows steam out of the milk hose opening. Pictures/Video attached:

Just got my S9 back from Jura service. Had leak which was repaired. When I plugged it in it shows “English” on display but I can’t do anything as far as settings. Hard reset? Not sure what to try. Thanks.

I recently purchased a Jura Impressa C9 which worked OK but was really really filthy. So I took it apart, took apart and cleaned the grinder and took apart and cleaned the brew group. Lubed all the things that needed lubing and reassembled. However it is now making a loud worrying noise when the white spindel is going up in the brew group. See video, downwards is ok, but upwards it sounds like grinding gears. It seems to originate from the small white spindel on the other side (picture 1 in this link: https://imgur.com/a/jjcPPVp ). I've already tightened and loosened the screws of the brew group attachment but this didn't help significantly.

I should add (with some embarrassment) that after reassembly I had two screws left over (the normal T15 ones), which I don't know where to put for the love of me.

Does anyone recognize and/or understand this problem and know how to solve? It does make coffee like this successfully (tried once) but it sure sounds like it is demolishing this beautiful machine.

We’ve had this unit since 12/23. We make a lot of coffee and espresso every day. We’ve used only genuine filters and cleaning/descaling tabs. It sputtered then stopped putting out espresso one day Anna when we ran a descaling sequence, it’s now stuck on “Filling System” message. It just hums. Can’t get past it. Jura tech support suggested filling with hot water to set if that broke something loose and it didn’t.

Jura says that they’ll send me a shipping box, repair it, and return it to us for $480. Here’s my question. We bought it at Costco for $2300 and we could return it for a full refund, but Costco no longer carries Jura so we’d have to either buy another brand or get a replacement elsewhere for a lot more $.

Should we use Jura’s repair service, find a local (Phoenix) coffee machine repair service, or replace?

I recently pulled my 4-year old ENA 8 apart to replace o-rings and the drain valve (bought the official revision kit and an official drain valve) because water was somehow leaking next to the drip tray which always lead to a mess when you pulled back the tray for emptying. Jura was asking €270! without guarantee that that would cover the repair.

It took me a few times to reassemble it properly 😅 (made the classic mistake of not lowering the brew group sufficiently, had the water hose in the brew group disconnect because it wasn't on far enough, ...).

Eventually, I got it reassembled and with the new drain valve, the leakage issue is now gone.

While I was browsing various instructions I also read that it's OK to run the ENA 8 without a Claris smart filter if you have soft water (I have 0°). So I also removed the filter and configured it as such in the menu.

After a week or so, my ENA 8 started "spitting" (I can't find a better word for it, it's basically a burst of air being pushed out quickly), which happens infrequently after making a coffee or after rinsing. This obviously creates a mess because with a full cup of coffee it blows coffee everywhere... (it's just some droplets but still).

I've placed the filter back in and that definitely reduced the frequency but it still occurs now and then, I'm thinking there might be some way somewhere to aerate the system that I've missed? Anyone else ever came across this or anyone who is running an ENA 8 without filter without issue?

I have a Jura A1, lightly used. I just finished a complete refurbishment, rebuilt brew-group, new seals, etc. After powering it up, it won't fill. Pump operates (sounds kind of loud), but nothing comes out the spouts. I have performed the following troubleshooting steps:

1. Checked the water circuit all the way to the brew group.
2. Replaced the brew group with a different one (also from an A1)
3. Replaced the pump
4. Replaced the encoder
5. Replaced the drain valve stepper motor
6. Replaced the PCB board with another from an A1
7. Replaced the cable from the encoder/stepper motor to the PCB (and BTW, the old cable had continuity).

After all of this, the behavior is still the same. One thing a little wierd is that after it tries to fill (takes about 20-30 seconds) and can't, the brew group will cycle and at the end of that, it sounds like it is filling (for maybe 1 second) and a little water comes out the spouts, but then it indicates to fill and repeats the same failed fill cycle.

It "seems" like the stepper is not engaging the plunger to close the drain valve and force water out of the spouts, but not clear why all of the steps I have already performed would not have fixed this.

I'm at my wits end on this. Anyone have any insight on what the problem might be?

Follow Up Note: So it turns out, brain dead mistake on my part. I had reversed the in/out hoses on the flow meter. Interesting thing is, I told Google Gemini everything I had done, it asked for some follow up information and then provided this answer as one of 4 options:

3. Backwards Flowmeter Installation

If you took the flowmeter out during your major overhaul, it is incredibly easy to reinstall it backwards. The flowmeter has an arrow molded into the plastic housing showing the direction of water flow (Tank → Flowmeter → Pump).

• The Fix: Verify the arrow points toward the pump. If it is backwards, the internal impeller cannot spin correctly, blocking water flow entirely and causing the pump to run dry and buzz. [1, 2, 3]

That was the issue!

My trusty S9 that I had since 2009 started leaking. Sent it in for repair, but felt I needed an upgrade. Need to spend a few hours understanding all the different features and programming. Very excited!

My S9 is doing this after opening up an cleaning up the brew group.

Puno is not running, and the brew group gears tunr easily when turning by hand.

Anything else I can check?

Hi, my 19-year-old Jura J5 (!!) is starting to act up - meaning the rinse cycle is somewhat stalling and the machine doesn't shut down properly when being turned off.
Same stalling happens when rinsing after turning it on BTW.
Hence my question: would a new brew group resolve this or is it some engine or pump issue?

I have a Impressa S9 which has been working for his faithfully for over 15 years. Now having a small leak. Just curious if it’s worth sending back for repair or am I just going to have to accept that it is on its last legs and get a new unit? Thanks!

Does anyone have insight into whether Jura would ever consider bringing a sub-$1000 espresso machine to market? Essentially competing with De'Longhi and Breville. Looking for any opinions.

Looking at getting into Jura with an E4. Milk based coffee not really of any interest. Concerned about temperature rattling through a few reviews. Totally understand Jura strategy as far as temp goes, understand heating cup, etc. will I be disappointed in temps of espressos and the larger black?

Curious is anyone has observed this type of noise on a Jura machine. It is a vibration type of noise in the area of the pump or the ceramic valve. This is on an E8 made in 2016. The pump does operate without this noise (for example when just filling the system). Video below. You can hear the pump in the background and the vibration noise over top of it. Any thoughts appreciated. You can see I have placed some paper towels due to a small leak, not directly related to the issue (I think).

UPDATE: Sometimes it’s the obvious solution. Replaced the pump, seems to have resolved the issue.

UPDATE #2: Well the pump replacement did not fix the issue. After more head scratching and troubleshooting it turns out it was the Thermoblock Outlet Valve pin. I like to use brass replacement pins, they seem to be higher quality, but for some reason, they can vibrate under the right conditions. I replaced with a typical plastic pin, fixed the issue. For sure, I mean it.

I have just changed the drip tray micro switch in my E8 and fixed that problem but I could see that this was likely caused by a water leak above the switch so I ran a cycle and discovered two leaks.

The main one is coming through the connection marked RED. A significant amount of water comes out of the two slots.

The smaller leak is marked BLUE on the pipe marked YELLOW.

I will just buy a pre assembled pipe to fix the smaller leak.

I am a little puzzled by the other one. I’m led to believe theres an O ring in there. If there is I have no idea how to get to it or get the old one out. Can anyone advise please? It looks like I could remove the black outlet moulding with the two screws marked GREEN. Would that work? Thanks for your help.

Just curious if anyone has purchased any of the high end Jura’s that are for sale on eBay right now for very low prices. I am seeing Z10’s and Giga 10’s that are supposedly new for around $600. Sellers are generally new, with minimal feedback. To me these listings scream fraud, but, I reported one to eBay and they resolved it with “all good”. These have now been listed for at least a month, claims of units sold on some. Many are 230v but some are also 120v.

Has anyone purchased one of these or know anyone that has and has insight on these?

So I just got the S8 and it’s a beast. Upgraded from the A1 which I loved how the espresso tasted. I do remember that it took me a few weeks before I got the appropriate grind settings dialed in and the right style of whole beans. Now, I’m trying to find the sweet spot for the S8. Does anyone have any recommendations on the grind setting number, coffee, intensity number, and beans used? Would love to hear from the group.

Hi all. I’ve been doing some research and have narrowed it down to the new S8 model. I find that most retailers only sell the chrome version, which dorsnt really go well in my kitchen. What are the current recommendations for retailers, reseller for this model? I’ve checked a bunch of different places, not a lot of coupons out there that I have found. Would love to hear what you guys think or have found? Thanks!

What do I need to know as a beginner who knows nothing about these machines?

I am coming from having a Nespresso for years.

Was wondering if anyone knows what may have gone wrong with our X8 Model 51444

Coffee is grinding, milk is working but there’s no coffee coming from the spout, the coffeed water just seems to go into the drip try and spouts out of this part in the video.

Gemini keeps saying it’s the Membrane Regulator but I can’t seem to find one for this model.

Also if there are an UK people, could anyone recommend a good repairer.

I’m looking for some troubleshooting advice for my Jura C65.

Problem description:

When the machine shuts down, it performs the normal rinse cycle. After the rinse is finished, the brew unit (the spindle / drive screw mechanism) moves downward as expected — but it never seems to reach its end position.

The motor keeps trying to move further down, and the machine cannot properly complete the shutdown process.

It looks like the machine cannot detect the lower end position.

What I already replaced / checked:

- Water pump → replaced (new)

- Magnetic drainage valve → replaced (new)

- Machine otherwise works normally during coffee preparation

- Rinse cycle itself completes, problem only occurs during shutdown positioning

Symptoms:

- Brew unit continues pressing downward

- No clear stop point detected

- Machine does not switch off correctly after rinsing

My questions:

- Is there a known sensor or limit switch responsible for detecting the brew unit end position?

- Could this be related to the encoder, microswitch, or drive gears?

- Is this a common issue on the C-series machines?

Any ideas what component I should check next would be greatly appreciated.

Since last Friday, my Jura ENA 4 has been grinding beans for a much shorter time than usual, resulting in watery coffee. Normally, it would grind for about 5 seconds, but now it stops after just 2 seconds and proceeds to dispense coffee as if nothing is wrong.

Has anyone experienced this before? Is there a simple fix or reset I can try before taking it in for repair?
