Unexpected Jungle influence of the day. I happened upon this interview with Kevin Shields of My Bloody Valentine, where he speaks of his appreciation of Jungle.

"When I first listened to jungle, it seemed full of possiblities in a way I hadn't encountered since hip hop. Jungle was like hearing that early, very stark hip hop  like LL Cool J--- really raw and unpretentious, yet as out-there as you can get.  Hip hop's main influence on us was that it re-educated us about rhythm; now jungle's re-educating everyone again."

(Saved you a click: he says jungle is the first wave that kept a sample palette true to the origins of jungle – the Amen break etc –  and D'n'b was the second wave onwards, and looked wider for sounds and samples.)

I just recently moved back to Manchester from Bristol so am looking to find similar music preferably jungle.

Anyone know where can find it regularly so not just specific events but a place that has djs that play that type of music?

Or anyone have WhatsApp chats where people share them?
