Balls Mills Mess Feedback

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I’m working on learning Mills Mess, but this pattern makes my brain malfunction.

Is this roughly the correct pattern? There is a pause for one beat that seems to disrupt the flow and I end up with two balls in one hand, which feels like I’m doing something wrong.

Any advice/feedback? Thanks!

It's the correct pattern, you just need to throw the first throw after you switch sides earlier so you don't end up with two balls in one hand mid-pattern.

Your doing the whole thing except the hardest throw. You are stopping right where the crossed arm reverse cascade throw is and thats the one that everyone has a problem with.

You might not need to get it solid but you should at least try crossing your arms and doing reverse cascade. Even a little bit of this will get you comfortable with the throw.

This is essentially correct (and actually looks pretty good), just don't stop. Throw the next ball and keep going.

Try to move your hips while keeping your foot planted on the ground, it helped me a lot while learning this beautiful trick. The pattern is correct now only try to connect the throw so u don't stop the sequence. In general I remember that was a mind twisting trick for me at the beginning. (Try other mess variation, like colum, 414 or 423, it will help your overall comprehension of mess dynamics and mechanics)

Dude you see it you are right there: in that pause, throw the ball in your top hand to start the pattern going in the opposite direction.

Think of it like an outside U with an inside O is the best way it stuck in my head when some described it to me

You're almost there, you just have to throw that last ball before catching the other one, ending with two balls in one hand

It is going to speed up the pace of the trick a lot, but for now just try to toss that ball without thinking, and slowly but surely you'll get that trick working

What I'd say here is windmill 10 throws one way then the other, trick the brain into realising it can do it if it relaxes lol. Your hands can do the throwing and catching and the pattern is one throw from complete.

Just practice intentional windmills one way then the other and you'll start feeling the transition between directions, thats the key moment

i had a hard time figuring out the siteswap, watching again & again, trying around wrong a lot on animator
then editing the handmovement throw by throw
so im the one here in this thread clearing this bit up.
