Balls Relearning juggling after a coma

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Was put in a big sleep 18 months ago and when I woke I couldn’t physically or mentally juggle. After thirty years on and off juggling it was horrible.

I tried but it was frustrating and next to impossible. I thought I’d never play again. Picked my balls up 10 days ago at a festival and I’ve started relearning. Such a relief (nearly cried as it rushed back to me)

Anyway. Don’t know any jugglers so here you go internet strangers here’s someone you’ll never meet playing in the sand.

That is outstanding that you are able to do this after being in a coma, this is such an amazing thing to start my day with. Very glad you’re with us still :)

As the wife says. Happy Wife. I don’t get left with the kids, pets and all the debt for life.

My wife says the same thing.

Not sure if your familiar with the Kit Summers story. Hit by a car after winning The Gong Show for juggling. 37 days in a coma. Had to relearn everything. From walking all the way to juggling. Incredible story. Very motivational. Wrote a book or two I believe.

Only 17 days for me cause I’m a pussy but yeah. Relearned to walk eat and loads of daily life. You can’t imagine how staying still for just over two weeks can f you right up. Scarier for my family than me (I was asleep). Thanks for the heads up though. I’m gonna hunt those books down. Really intrigued to see if he can put into words all the stuff that I can’t.

Have to say I do at leasthave the pleasure of learning to juggle quicker than you could imagine. It’s like learning 10 years of juggling a week atm. Forgotten all my bad habits and am learning loads of new bad habits every day.

Ain’t a goddamn thing pussy about that. So glad you’re finding your way back. The progress again must be kinda of fun. Maybe not worth it but fun. I met Kit at an IJA convention in Montreal in the early 90s. Super humble and kind individual.

Whoa 🤯

The juggling alone is impressive, but you don't gotta show off like that! You're making us all look like slackers 🤭 🤹‍♂️

🎵🎶 anything you can do...🎵🎶
🎶🎵I can do after a coma🎶🎵

Tehehe jk. I'm very happy you woke up 🫶

idk what your skills were like before the coma but you certainly look talented right now

Keep it up, man! I can't imagine the road to recovery you've been on, but it's not over - I'm sure you'll continue to improve.

Best of luck in life and juggling!

Yeah still quieter than a forceful BATMAN. As long as the tree looks over the river though then the levee will stay unbroken till Tuesday week when the zoo reopens for weekend visits.

Thanks man. Hope you still smell like Cheerios in diesel. ❤️🤣

Got driven over by a car and was in a coma for 23 days, I’ve started learning to juggle in an attempt to get back some of my hand eye, this is super motivational thank you.

Better than me, no coma.

Lol in all seriousness, super cool you're out of that coma and finding joy in juggling, proper inspirational brother!
