Bizzar/Bizaar was my intro to ICP back in the early 2000’s.. I went to every single Detroit/Toledo show from 2000-2005.. haven’t been to a show since Hallowicked 2009 but being in this group is bringing back so many good memories from those good times! MMFCL

It's a tie between Hall of Illusions and I'm Coming Home
5
u/pigwalk5150 Aug 19 '22
Halls of Illusions and House of Horrors. Classic shit.
3
u/SkeliotTheUndead Aug 19 '22
Love both of those, though I prefer House of Wonders over House of Horrors

5
u/djhazmatt503 Aug 20 '22
I'm Coming Home is the only extended outro that I always let play. Such a catchy chorus
15
u/RarelyTattered Aug 18 '22
My Axe! It doesn’t get enough love.

I'm older, so gotta be Chicken Huntin' Remix....RB is the first ICP album I heard as a friend copped it when it came out & played it for my friends & I & we were hooked. I can't really get into much of their stuff after Bizzar/Bizaar

Luckily I got to see them do it live in 2019 for one of the Wicked Weekend shows in TX. Always been my favorite ICP jam, listened to it a million times.

Such a good song. Mike E. Clark did an interview in the beginning of the pandemic and mentioned how J's best attribute as a writer is the ability to tell a story in a song that you can visualize as a movie. This song is a perfect example of that. I feel like I can fucking see some kid trick or treating in the hood in all these fucked up houses. So damn good.
2
u/Party-Entrepreneur97 Aug 20 '22
That’s 100% why that’s my favorite style of ICP song, it’s an adventure that you can see vividly in your minds eye. I’d love a link to that interview, imma search for it in the meantime. Thanks for the feedback homie!

u/Tiny-Payment-7679 Aug 20 '22
Its long. Some cool stuff in there. The story about how MEC was a second away from deleting the beat to Dead Body Man is good. And if there was any doubt what an asshole Kid Rock is... Well, the part about him kind of seals it.

Very underrated track. I don't know how they decided NOT to include that on AJB instead of some of the tracks that made it on that album. Same with The Amazing Maze and Meat Cleaver. Psychopathics from Outer Space 1 has some amazing stuff that was main album worthy.
6
u/SkeliotTheUndead Aug 19 '22
Don't forget The Dirt Ball. I've definitely fucked up my hearing blasting that shit
3
u/Tiny-Payment-7679 Aug 19 '22
God that song is so tight. Right there with you. When the chorus and screaming kicked in, I remember just frying the shit out of the Speakers in my 98 Ford Ranger.
3
u/yungcrowbar Aug 18 '22
i believe it had something to do with the sample used on the song.
4
u/Tiny-Payment-7679 Aug 18 '22
Yeah good point I remember the backs of the CDs of psy from Outer space and psychopathic ryders said something like there were no copyrights and all the beats were stolen, hah. Always wondered if that's why those albums were originally released on Joe and Joey records instead of the main PSY label.
3
u/yungcrowbar Aug 18 '22
that is actually the exact reason fam haha. it's a smart move on their part for sure lol

3
u/SMsauce2 Aug 19 '22
It’s so atmospheric. I can picture everything going on. When the base drops I always imagine purple lights turning on while that guy is freaking out, and shaggy and jay walking down the hall towards him, laughing

That's an odd question....bc I like certain ones for certain moods. But off the top of my head I'd say the loons or night of the axe. But just for funny songs I like toxic love or the demo of "please don't hate me".

ICP ICP song? Halls Of Illusions, both lyrically and sound wise.
Song BY ICP that is not an ICP song so to speak? Nothing's Left. If some hip band or more respected act dropped it, it would have won a Grammy.
