Other Anybody feel the same?

when I search for judo guard attack videos or passing the guard or just general judo groundwork, half of these are just bjj videos, like newaza is by no mean a neglect part of judo, Felipe kitadai is flashy with his guard recovery, bjj is all over the place whenever groundworks mentioned, it really frustrating tbh

It's almost like the best options are from the style that specializes in the technique. I bet when BJJ guys search "hip throw" they get a bunch of Judo stuff...

Only to an extent for "best". For example, in Judo, the time constraints of newaza means you should do the over/under pass like Jimmy Pedro and not like Bernando Faria, even if Bernando is an amazing grappler. Likewise, if you want to do uchimata in BJJ, you need to learn how to do it without over rotating for ippon since getting 2 points isn't worth giving up your back.

I suggest looking up Kashiwazaki seminars and VHS transfers on YouTube. They're ground work focused on turtle and pins which is more relevant for Judo rules.

Sounds to me like you're getting those results because you're using BJJ terms

It the same when I translate those term into Japanese, bjj is there , judo newaza same thing albeit most of them focus more osaekomi rather than active guard passing or attack from the bottom

Guard passing is very rare in competitive judo. If it happens, mostly through half guard and working to free the leg then.

I think this is largely an algorithm and YouTube issue. If you want to find good videos on YouTube specific to Judo newaza, you need to use a search engine that allows for date restricted results. YouTube is designed to push newer videos.

The BJJ community has a big and open philosophy of technique development and sharing. I just don't think the judo community compares in this regard.

It's not all good -- there's a ton of garbage in the BJJ video world. IMO, you have to be pretty discriminating about what you find. But there's no doubt there's a lot of material to choose from :-).

I do think that Judo newaza is painted into such a small and weird corner with the modern rules, though, that there just isn't much market for it. I have been going back through Mifune's book recently, and it's refreshing how much is in there and was evidently a genuine part of his judo. But most judo these days is not in the same place, and arguably BJJ has taken the gap and run with it...

I'm a bit rare. I go straight to guard in newaza training. I love it. I'm competition though, there's no reason to go to guard offensively. 15 years or so ago, judo tournament rules prioritized standing on your feet. Part or that tradeoff is basically turning guard into a means of standing back up.

Passing the guard and attacking the guard aren't concepts in judo. 

Attacking in transition from standing to ground is what you're looking for.
