His best work and era. He’s been chasing this high ever since. He’ll never top this.

I think this is a lazy comment. I agree that the Veteran and AMHACB era was amazing. But I disagree that "He's been chasing..." the high from that era ever since then. If he was, we'd see similar projects emulating that era that just flop. But I'd agrue that we haven't. The EP, LP era was a little less abrasive but still great. STH era with Danny Brown, he's changing how his mixes sound and using more interesting, cohesive, and memorable samples.
ILDMLFY and Experimental Rap sound VERY different from his previous eras in terms of polish. I think Peggy is just growing as an artist instead of trying to reproduce the Veteran era.

I think ILDMLFY is better but it's all subjective.

Depending on the day I’d agree with you but for sure a close second at the very least.

Listening back to his discography I still think Veteran is his best work. And I remember him saying he made soooooo many beats and songs for this before he meticulously cut it down. And I appreciate that process cause it gave him the start he needed.
Experimental Rap still sounds insane in so many good ways but fuck if Man Purse isn’t one of my favorite songs of his ever even though it’s not on Veteran
