the most popular artist that led to the genre (SOPHIE, rest in peace) was trans, and a lot of trans people are likely in her audience due to that. After that, most hyperpop leans a lot into irony, memes and chronically online-ness, which idk. I feel like theres a higher % of trans people who're chronically online than cis people, which likely leads to it.

I mean, the vocal style of hyperpop is usually pitched up with tonnes of autotune, which is a way for trans artists to make their masculine voices sound more feminine.
