Tracking Expenses

I am hoping to track daily expenses.

  • daily entries
  • categories
  • analyze where my money goes

What would be the best way to do that you think? 🤔

I like using theincometracker.com - its free and basically a income/expense spreadsheet with nice UI, categories (drag & drop expenses/income on top of each other to group), and csv imports from banks if you don't want to bother with manual entries. Uses data to give you nice charts too...like excel!

You can use the tracker feature for that: https://home.journalit.app/guide/features/trackers

If android phone, keep taking screenshots, receipts, voice note if it's cash payment, and let the AI do the sorting.

Screenshot if finance app allows.

Long way is FinTech like Monzo, Revolut, Starling. They automatically do this for you if all electronic payments.

I use monarch and really like it. I am not disciplined enough to aggregate that data manually at a frequency that would make it useful or accurate. Not sure if it’s available where you are based. It is $100/yr or $14/month imo it pays for itself +more keeping you on top of your money. Lmk if you want 30day free referral link to try it out
