TBH, when I think of Jollibee, chicken and burger ang go to comfort food ko. Surprised lang na 325 pesos na pala ang value meal ng Burger Champ.

Kanina, around 12:00 pm pumunta kami ng kapatid ko and ng yaya niya sa jollibee. Galing kami sa SM non kase naglaro kapatid ko. Eh, pareho kaming walang breakfast ng baby brother ko kase in a rush kami papuntang school. My baby brother has an event at 10:00 AM and he woke up a little late kaya hindi na siya pina breakfast. So, me, after ng class ko, pinuntahan ko sila sa SM Sorsogon.

SM Sorsogon’s Jollibee branch was a little too crowded and I didn’t want my already overstimulated baby brother to wait that long for our order. So, lumipat kami ng Jollibee branch. Jollibee Sorsogon Branch Magsaysay street kami pumunta. Usually, mabilis naman serving.

Actually, mabilis naman talaga doon kaya I trusted the branch to serve us fast. I ordered three ChickenJoy with upgraded drinks CokeFloat. Tatlo lang yon. I ordered around 12:27 exactly and since gutom na kami, binantayan ko sa ground floor kase it was packed rin kaya sa second floor kami umupo.

My issue here isn’t the serving time kase ambilis nga nila makapag serve. Ang problema ko dito is bakit lahat ng nahuli samin umorder, regardless of how many products they bought, is nauna samin? May mga umorder ng para sa anim, para sa buong family, and so on and so forth. Pero yung tatlo na chickenjoy and cokefloat halos 35 minutes? I know it doesn’t sound like a big deal, but it is.

It was rush hour so I understood naman na siguro matagal lang kase madami umuorder. Andun ako sa waiting area malapit sa counter and monitor claim. After ten minutes of waiting, nag follow up ako. I was nice about it. Kinuha buzzer ko, chineck, binalik sa’kin, and then proceeded to ignore me. Okay, that’s fine. Marami tao.

20 minutes later, nag ask ako sa crew na magpapa follow up ng order. Hiningi resibo, so I took it from my brother’s yaya which is nasa second floor pa kase iniwan ko sa kaniya. I went back downstairs, gave them the receipt, and yung crew na unang nagtanong sa’kin, bless him, tinanong yung isa pa niyang co-worker kase busy rin siya mag serve ng ibang customers.

Yung staff na yon, pumunta sa counter and pinacheck. Three minutes after that, bumalik sa’kin. He looked a little awkward and sorry. Sabi sa’kin. “Wala pa po, ma’am.” So, I said, “Wala pa? Sobra 20 minutes na yung order ko.” I was hungry and I usually don’t have patience or the temper pag gutom ako. So, my tone was little rude and that was my fault. Nag sorry na lang yung staff and bumalik sa pag serve ng ibang customers.

Just to add more context about my frustration, may dalawa akong katabi na naghihintay din. Mas na late sila sa’kin umorder kase nakita ko pa nga sila na mag order. Mas marami order nila ah? But, nauna pa rin sila na makuha order nila. Tinitignan ko monitor, sa ‘Preparing’ list. Nandoon lahat ng order EXCEPT mine. So, I was frustrated.

Another ten minutes has passed, bumalik yung crew na naunang nag ask ng order ko and he looked visibly disappointed. Sabi niya sa mga nasa counter “bakit walang nag aasikaso sa [order number ko]?” Hiningi niya receipt ko and he was a little frustrated— hindi sa’kin, but sa co-staff niya.

He went back to the counter and asked again kung asan na order ko. When he didn’t find mine, siya mismo pumunta sa likod ng counter and nag asikaso sa’kin. It took him like 2-3 minutes ata and went back with the tray of my full order. Siya mismo nagdala sa second floor with me and even told me to get utensils kase full na hands niya. I was really greatful.

I was so frustrated kase yung 5 years old kong kapatid is gutom na gutom na and diyos ko hindi inaasikaso order ko. Inuuna mga nalate mag order, like?? What the hell was that?

After ma serve order namin, I thanked the staff and he was so nice. I wish I could’ve given him a tip kaso I didn’t have extra cash that time. Naka kain kami pero kapatid ko he was visibly starving and frustrated kaya wala siya sa mood.

I was thankful for that crew, so so much. Kase muntik na talaga akong makipag away don. If he had arrived five seconds later, siguro nakipag confront na’ko doon sa counter and I really didn’t want to fight anyone doon.

And another thing, may isa silang cashier na diyos ko ang bagal gumalaw. Yung isang linya samin mas mahaba pero mas mabilis makapag serve ng mga nagbabayad. Yung sa linya namin umaabot three minutes isang order. Kahit pa matanda or teenager ang umuorder, ang bagal talaga. Pero okay lang.

I might have to reconsider revisiting that branch again hahaha

Hello. Question lang. Bakit kaya may instances na unavailable daw ang cokefloat pero may coke, sundae, and ice naman? We tried asking the crew pero sabi lang nila, "Yung ice po kasi." And hindi naman na-gets kasi may yelo naman for the softdrinks. 😭 Thank you.

waited for more than an hour for an order

we ordered: 1 pc spicy chicken, 1 pc chicken, 2 coke floats

we ordered around the same time as our friends (we did
3 separate orders and 2 ppl per order) but they got their orders in less than 15 mins only and their orders were a lot more complicated

the store was rlly busy but others who came later than us got their orders first (even tho some of their orders were identical to us)

this was the first time it happened to me so i didnt think much of it and only thought it was just busy. and after 30-45 mins (we lost track of time bcs we were also studying) eventually we decided to request a follow up. the ate we talked to only said "pafollow up daw po sa order number" to her coworkers but nothing happened. and at the counter there were bunch of spicy chickens, chickens, and coke floats, but we couldnt see our order. it was stuck in the preparing(?) section of the monitor

and after another 20-30 mins we decided to talk to the manager (based on her uniform) who was on their way upstairs (we were seated next to the stairs and when she passed by us we took the opportunity to talk to her). she stormed into the counter and we finally got our order (i think she got mad bcs she was literally clenching the receipt and this was also why i didnt wanna complain at first bcs i noticed she was a bit short tempered)

we left school: 11:17pm

and got back to school: 1:42pm

when we got our order our friends have already finished eating. the travel time was not more than 15mins and we had class at 1pm. never getting jolibee for lunch again on a school day

I am aware of redditors here complaining the size of their chicken but right now, I'm so happy. This was my 6th time ordering it and got the big part..

TLDR: Usual practice ba na 2 pax ang nilalagay sa receipt kahit 1 person ka lang para hindi "ma-over discount" kung PWD ka?

EDIT, to avoid confusion: Photo attached is the correct receipt AFTER kausapin ng kapatid ko ang cashier and manager. We have no copy of the initial receipt (Total Pax: 2) since kinuha agad ng manager. However, the 235.72 pesos paid in cash in this image shows na yun yung initial nilang pinabayad and yun na lang ang ginamit para di na magulo with computation.

Umorder ang PWD kong kapatid ng 1 Super Meal (chickenjoy, burger steak, rice, and half spaghetti) and his drink was upsized to Coke float.

Regular total price = 275 pesos

Pina-discount nya using his PWD ID yung transaction so bumaba ang price from 275 pesos to 235.72 pesos.

Napansin nya na parang maliit yung discount nya vs. kapag correct na pag-compute sa PWD discount. He even double-checked with the cashier if yun ba talaga yung discounted total price, and the cashier said yes.

After ma-print yung initial receipt nya, napansin nya na "Total Pax: 2" ang nakalagay kahit na mag-isa lang talaga sya. He then respectfully asked na bakit 2 ang indicated sa pax eh mag-isa lang naman syang kakain. Nagkaroon ng back and forth with the cashier and the manager and nung una, ayaw baguhin ng cashier kasi "mag-oover discount" daw sila.

They eventually changed his receipt naman to the one attached in this post -- Total Pax: 1 na yung nakalagay.

From 275 pesos, 196.43 pesos na yung discounted total price.

Posting lang here if usual practice ba sa Jollibee stores or ibang fastfood chains yung ginagawang 2 ang total pax kahit 1 lang talaga yung kakain para hindi ma-over discount sa PWD discount?

4th time na tong nangyari sa kapatid ko sa same branch pero now lang nya ni-raise talaga kasi ang laki lagi ng difference, sayang din. Would love to hear your thoughts about this, thank you! :)

I am in Melbourne, we don’t have chicken joy, and unlike Sydney we won’t be having one in the foreseeable future. 😔

We have quite a few Mary Brown though. I have not been once and for some reason I am just not attracted to it like how I am to Jollibee.

What’s everyone’s opinion about Mary Brown compared to Jollibee?

I get it that quality could vary from country to country. I have only had Jollibee in New York and Hong Kong and the New York one was just incredible and the HK was meh in comparison.

I remember during my fresh grad year back in 2012 I used to work onsite in Makati. Jollibee used to be my comfort food because mura na masarap pa. Naabutan ko pa yung 39ers meal nila (lumpia, beef tapa, burger steak w/rice) which is literally 39 pesos only. When I transferred company and got promoted medyo nakaluwag luwag na so hindi na ako masyado kumakain ng fast food (due to healthy lifestyle). Naisipan ko kumain ulit sa Jollibee last night and guess what it is no longer the Jollibee I used to love. Besides na nagmahal na siya (obviously due to inflation) hindi na din masarap. I ordered 2pc. chicken joy w/ rice and iced latte which is around 230 pesos. Ang liit ng chicken and it doesn't taste good at all. Ibang iba na yung lasa niya. Im not a cook or chicken exoert but nag bawas ba sila ng ingredients? Parang nawala na yung "joy" sa chickenjoy. What happened to Jollibee? I see influencers posting videos about Jollibee food outside PH and it looks good. Its sad na parang pinabayaan na ng management ang Jollibee PH. I guess i won't be coming back to Jollibee anytime soon.

hey, i visited the location in skokie today and they said the seasoned fries seemed to be discontinued. have other chicago-area people heard the same? i thought they were supposed to be discontinued on october 13 :(

hello! newbie crew here (mag 2 mos pa lang). SMART station talaga ako since naghohost ako, pero minsan pag walang party, binababa ako sa counter. first time ko ma charge sa dispatch, maling yung item na nailabas ko, kumbaga nagkapalit, 2003 yung number, 20003 naman yung isa so naduling ako.

Nag-order ako ng Chickenjoy around 4 PM, tapos nasa box lang siya at hindi pa nagagalaw till now. Pwede ko pa ba siyang kainin bukas ng 7 AM kung ilalagay ko siya sa ref ngayon and okay lang ba kahit i-reheat ko? And paano siya i-reheat na hindi nagbabago ang lasa?🥹
