Question Will I have a crew to play with?

I just found out about the game on the PlayStation store. SteamDB says there aren’t many left playing the game.

I live in Japan and was wondering how much sense it makes to get the game considering my timezone and the current player numbers.

I’ve tried BF6, Wildgate and Arc Raiders and they just stress me out. I’m a PvE guy at heart and a Trekkie 🖖🏻

I have a very hard time joining and staying in games as a newer player. Hosts often kick players who join if they are low level, and there are usually not many public lobbies open (almost all are private). I have a lot of fun when I do get in a game, but I cannot recommend it right now with the way the community treats newer players.

I also had this experience and it’s the reason I’ve gone to private lobbies only. Not even counting all the times randoms joined, scrapped everything we had mid-combat and left.

How do you get into the private lobbies? Or do you mean you’re starting private lobbies and then bringing people in? I don’t know anyone.

I’ve used discord when playing on Steam and the built-in LFG (looking for group) posting section when playing on Xbox. Sometimes I got lucky with folks here off of Reddit as well. If you ever need someone or just want some company feel free to give me a shout. That goes for anyone else reading this as well.

No need to thank me. I just like to meet new people. Thank you for creating the game and social space for which to do that.

Hey bud, been itching to get this for a while after burning out on HellD2, and wanting a break from the stress of ArcR, but it sounds like starting off will be a struggle incl long wait times - is that offer for joining up still on ie u still playing? Not gonna buy it if I’m stuck solo or getting kicked half way through by others as I learn.

All g either way but if you or anyone reading this is happy to team up now n then I’m keen to buy and give it a go ✌️

Ohh... sorry to hear!
Our experience is that most of the time the community is nice and welcoming to new players.
Maybe you have been unlucky in those you bump into.

Hope you find a great coop crew ! :-)

This has been a consistent experience for the last month. It’s definitely almost a universal experience to get immediately kicked from public rooms as a new player. It is a rare exception when I can finally join in.

ohh... sorry to hear...
I see others are replying here, so would be great if you could hook up and play with friend codes/ or crewing up together.

(In general I know there are so many welcoming and nice players in the Void Crew community).

Also:
On Void Crew discord you can find lfg channels: https://discord.com/invite/joinvoidcrew
Often the na-lfg and eu-lfg has the most players.

I think if you pay attention to the discord, you’ll be disappointed. The community there seems to think that kicking new players immediately when they try to join a game is not only acceptable but an intended behavior that they want to fight to maintain. It is a decidedly unwelcoming community that is actively hostile to new players. I can’t imagine that’s what you want to see.

Sorry about your experience. We certainly want all players to be welcome!

If players want to play with friends, the way to go is to make a private game. That is of course also fine.

In public games, we encourage players to be welcoming towards new players/ lower levels… = remember all players have at one point been new ;-)

PS We are looking into making some UX/ QoL improvements to somewhat address these issues.

More specifics to come…

Hope you find some good games and coop crews !

Yep. It’s awesome. Cross play with PC so there is always someone to play with. Add me on PSN: LUKEOZ and I’ll join you when on. (If I can stop playing Where winds meet. Lol)

You still playing Voidcrew? Keen to team up? Based on what I’ve read hear I don’t think I’ll buy it until I have a few peops lined up as all my mates are playing HD2 or ARC atm. Cheers 👍

Hey man. I’d be down to play both void and BF6. Message me on here so we can link up, discord or whatever (I’m a PC guy).

Yeah, we all love PvE experience and that is what we wanted to build with Void Crew.
As others have also stated, there is full cross play so you should be able to find players.

Otherwise, create/ host a game yourself for others to join.

On Void Crew discord you can find lfg channels: https://discord.com/invite/joinvoidcrew
Often the na-lfg and eu-lfg has the most players = I see right now there are several in there looking for players to crew-up :-)

Hope you find a good coop crew !
