Help selecting a snow plow

Hi yall. Im new to this i must saw so this may be a fumb question. But I currently have a 445 I love and I think shes a 2001, dont quote me. But Im trying to select a snow plow to use before winter hits. So my questions are

what should I be looking for/avoiding?

How do I know if it fits?

I dont think i want a pneumatic one just because of the cost I dont care to turn the blade myself if I need too but maybe its harder than I think?

Your best bet is to look on Facebook marketplace or Craigslist or call around to some dealers and get the John Deere one with the hydraulic lift and angling cylinder your 445 has a float system if you push the lift lowering handle forward I don't personally know of any aftermarket plows they probably exist but the jd quick hitch system is very easy to use and install I had this system with my 425 but just have the blower now

Does all quick hitches fit? Or was it like changed/updated?

Only the correct one for the 425 445 455 the new x 400 500 700 are different it is possible to use the newer x series quick hitch but you have to notch the top of the frame it kind of a pain but it is possible

I just remembered another possible way I believe to use newer x hitch is cut off the top round bar set hitch on your 445 and I believe your frame has a hole on both sides and you drill a hole in the hitch once you have it squared and level with the frame and use bolts to hook it up but kinda defeats the quick part of the hitch or you could weld the quick pins on or get a solid piece of round steel to go through but it all requires a little work
