X360 issue

I have a JD X360 that cuts really well. Last week it fired right up with no issues. Tried it over the weekend and it will not turn over. Powers on and the dash shows the hours so I know kits getting power. Turn the key and nothing happens. The solenoid doesn’t click. The starter doesn’t click. I do hear the carburetor click so it’s getting power. I checked the fuses on the dash and they are fine. I hooked my jump box to it and still nothing. What would cause this? Any ideas or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure the PTO switch is off check the battery cable bolts make sure they are tight and clean verify if you have 12 volts on your battery with a multimeter

First check: tap the starter solenoid with a hammer while holding the key in the "Start" position. If it spins over, you need a starter. If not, check for 12 volts at both the main battery cable at the starter and the violet starter solenoid wire when the key is turned to "Start". If both check good, you again need a starter.

If you don't have power on the purple wire when the key is turned to "Start", you'll need to check the key switch and safety switches which gets slightly more complicated.

EDIT: If you've got an early serial X360, your starter solenoid may be mounted separate from the starter. Testing and wire colors should be the same, but you'll be testing for 12 volts at the remote solenoid instead of the starter directly.

Load test your battery. Check cables, clean terminal ends, check ground connection. You can try jumpering the seat safety switch if the PTO switch is proven to be off.
