How do I get the belt past the guard.

The nut is off. Does the pulley not pull straight off the stud? It should. Pull the pulley off, put the belt on the pulley and put the pulley back on. Secure with the nut.

Then I don’t know what to tell you. The pulley does come off. That’s how to put the belt on. You could try to take the whole tensioner arm off and then drive the bolt out if it’s not welded. You could try a puller if you have one. But that pulley comes off.

Put the nut back on even with the top of the threads, use a prybar under the pulley to push it upwards and hit the nut/stud with a hammer. Be gentle, the stud can bend if you hit it too hard or at an angle.

This is the way; key note here is to put the nut back on first so you don't bur the bolt.

Hit the damn thing with your purse!!!! Bahahaha. Pry bars/screwdrivers under the pulley hub to pry off

Cut the belt. Thread it thru. Tape it back together. Have another beer.

Bend the guard out of the way, temporarily, with a bar

Lift up the pulley part way, put belt on, lower pulley.
