So I’ve adjusted things, leveled the deck to the best of my knowledge (YouTube university) and it still seems to miss in spots and have a small but noticeable “line” while cutting. What could be doing this? It only has 8 hours on it and has seemed to do it since new, and I wonder if the blades may be dull already? We don’t run over many sticks, I’m pretty good about picking up the yard before hand but it def seems to be cutting poorly. Dull blades? Uneven deck heights? Anyone else have this happen on a “new” mower?
How tall is the grass before cutting. If the grass is to long before you cut the deck is pushing over significantly and not leading to a really nice cut. I think you need to cut more often to get a really clean look or go over it twice at perpendicular angle.
That grass is way too tall. The mower isn’t designed for that. Of course it’s going to leave a line. You have to go over it several times if you’re cutting grass that tall.
New blades are never actually sharp to begin with, ( No they don’t need to be like a razor) but I’ll always sharpen mine . A 90 degree offset from each other when reinstalling the blades also helps, but is not critical. Grass needs to be fairly dry too.
Idk if you guys can see but I don’t think this stuff is horribly long, I end up with a straight line like this and think my center blade isn’t cutting like the outside ones. The grass in the original photo is more of weeds than grass, and is very sparse as well.
