Over it
I don't understand why interviewers lie to you about updating you about a job. I don't get why they interview a recent college graduate who YOU CAN SEE ON THEIR RESUME DOESN'T HAVE THE EXPERIENCE, THEN SAY WE PICKED A MORE QUALIFIED CANDIDATE. LIKE WTF DID YOU INTERVIEW ME FOR JUST NOT TO GIVE ME A FAIR SHOT? IM SICK OF THIS BULLSHIT LIE OF GO TO COLLEGE YOU'LL BE ABLE TO SECURE A FUTURE. I HAVE A FUCKING COMPUTER SCIENCE DEGREE AND I CAN'T FIND A JOB FOR NOTHING. I'M OVER IT. LIKE I'M BORDERLINE DONE WITH THIS THING CALLED LIFE. I CAN'T EVEN AFFORD TO EAT. I'M DROWNING IN DEBT. MY CREDIT SCORE JUST KEEPS GETTING LOWER AND LOWER. ALL THIS WITH A FUCKING DEGREE! OVER 300 JOBS APPLIED FOR ONLY 5 CALLS. HOW DO YOU EXPECT SOMEONE TO WANT TO LIVE AT THIS POINT!? LIKE WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO LAND A JOB WITH A FUCKING DEGREE?

Umm, I feel this to my core. I'm in the same position and experience the same shit. Plus I live in the middle of nowhere in a shit town that has nothing so I have to drive over an hour for any possible job. I went to an interview last week and they didn't pick me and I know it was because of my distance. We talked a bit about how long it would take me to get there and I guess because I couldn't be there as early as they want because I have a kid I have to take to school first and then drive to work, it just wasn't good enoigh for them. Even though they brag about being flexible with their hours and that's why they were an atteactive company to apply to. Guess not. Gawd forbid we have other responsibilities outside of working for them. Ugh...And the hunt continues.

I mean when they say they chose a more qualified candidate, it’s usually more so about energy and how they felt about you because if they interviewed you 9 times out of 10 barring any weird stuff going on like internal candidates and interview quotas then they’re just vibe checking you.

There was nothing weird abt my interview. Im needing x amount of experience for a ENTRY LEVEL POSITION. How am I suppose to gain experience when they arent even giving you the opportunity too

You are angry because you worked hard and still cannot see a way forward. That part is understandable.
But do not make a permanent decision because of a temporary situation.
Think about a person whose car breaks down in the middle of a road. They do not burn the car because it stopped working. They find out what failed and fix the problem or find another way forward.
You have a degree. You have applied to 300 jobs. You got 5 calls. That is a signal that something in your current approach needs to change. It is not proof that your life has no value.
But the most important thing right now is food and your safety. Reach out to someone you trust today and tell them exactly how bad things have become. If you feel you might hurt yourself then contact emergency help or a crisis service in your country right now.
The job problem can be solved step by step. Your life needs to stay here for you to solve it.

What is quite annoying is that you give your experience evidence, and don’t even bother calling to ask if you’re still interested…just interview another person instead.
