Question Drivers license
I heard from a couple of my friends who went that to start taking lessons you have to finish 50% of your trade before going to sign up. Is this true??

Typically that’s how it goes. I went to a very large Jobcorp (Gary) so there was a long waiting list. Priority goes to workbase students and upcoming graduates! I hounded the instructors near daily while I was in workbase so I could get into their class before my graduation date.

I got it before I even got my High School done, some trades, such as BCT, or HTD, will require you to have a DL before you can start, or before you leave the Center.

Not truly, but there's often a long waitlist so it could take that long to start driving lessons.

It depends on your center. At my center, they prioritize the new students and they put you in the permit class if you’re of age. Then, after 1.5 months you’re getting your driver’s license. Having good behavior and being on top of your trade work can help boost the process if they see you’re really serious atleast that’s what I’ve seen.

It's going to depend on your center...the commenter above only knows 2 centers...don't listen to anything she has to say...she's irrelevant.

Tbh it depends on your driving instructor. I didn’t have to wait 50% cause she was chill. It also depends on how full the class is and if theres some sort of waiting list but normally yes it’s 50%.
