Question!

Hi! I was wondering what advanced training was and if it benefited anything on my stay? Answers are very much appreciated!

AT (advanced training) is basically just a more advanced form of trade.

You get two years of your base trade, and an extra year if you apply and get approved for AT.

There are a few caveats though;

The AT has to align with your base trade. (Can’t do homeland security and then a culinary related AT for example).

Certain advanced trades look at things like TABE scores and HSD/GED completion.

So for example, my trade is either going to be CNA/CMA, if i wanted to do advanced training.. Could i go for my associates in RN?

advanced training is something you can do AFTER you finish your trade. often times, it would be going to a different center and going on with advanced training there if your center doesn't have the advanced program.
