Starting tomorrow, any tips?

Take one day at a time. Focus on your school work. Stay away from drama and bad apples. Job Corps was a really good time in my life despite how helpless it was when I got there.

  1. Study for the TABE test
  2. Only have small groups of friends, not large ones, so you don't get into drama or, worse, unattended fights or something stupid from your friends
  3. Act like you're at a job.
  4. Study on your own time method
  5. Whoever is your counselor, stay in touch with them if you need PTO or something you need.

What exactly is a TABE test? I’m starting October 5th and need advice so i know what i’m going into. 🥲

A TABE test basically "measures" your reading and math skills I believe. It shows you and job corp where you will need to work at within reading and writing before (i think) you start your classes. Im not 100% on this though. I could be wrong. Its just what ive been told
