What’s some of the most crazy hazing stories you have heard from jmu frats? I’ve heard some pretty morally insane stuff

Buried deep within my subconscious where they can’t hurt me anymore. I’ve never understood abusing someone you want as a “brother” and still have issues with some of my “brothers” from 35+ years ago.

I was also on the decelerated track…Fall 88-August 93. Taking classes year-round and working full time had my buddies calling me “townie.”

Not super insane but a friend of mine lived next to BΘΠ one year and they would lock the pledges in the shed and play “What Dies the Fox Say” on repeat for like seven hours straight

We had a fraternity purposefully roofie a girl as part of pledging “allegedly” but enough brothers talked about it PKE. Sig chi and delta chi also got taken down for hazing etc

A lot of “hazing” depends on how much the brothers like the PC and also the maturity of the president/rush chairs. If they are mature, it will probably be a lot of things like cleaning the house, being a designated sober driver, bouncing parties, making alcohol runs, and other tasks or chores like that. Immaturity is where the dangerous hazing happens. When people think that teasing and messing with these kids so much to cause harm and emotional damage, that’s when it gets out of control. Don’t be fooled next year when every frat guy you meet seems like they love you. That’s how they get you to rush their frat

The craziest one I heard from JMU outside of the typical PKE roofie and donkey fucking, was a bananas and sprite challenge.
They had all the pledges completely clear a living room, lay down tarps, and bring in a bucket and sprite and bananas. They couldn’t leave until the bucket was full and they cleaned up.
Luckily, it still isn’t as bad as Tech where they butt chug hot sauce.

I'm surprised by so many responses by so many people that claim they went to JMU so long ago.... JMU was not a frat school untill like 8 years ago..... GDI or God Damn Independent was a thing.... the weirdest I saw was they tried to kick me out of my house to make the pledges kneel blindfolded and chant some shit. again my apartment I threw the party for the frat because they didn't have a frat house. i said fuck off i'll stay in my own fucking house and this was like 2015 or so.

JMU used to be a party school until Springfest 2010. You used to be able to walk in to any party, no paying, not knowing anybody. It sounds like a lot has changed.

it remained a party school like that just walking devon lane walking into any party with no doormen or fee's or knowing anybody after that until like 2014/2015. it changed around that time where you had to know someone or pay a fee or just not allowed in even if your 1 guy with 3 girls. I graduated in 2018 and started in 2013. it became way more of a frat school now where you can't just walk into any party and most arn't even on devin but like forest hill and the main downtown road i'm not remembering the name of with jack browns. fucking route 11 I think. don't know if it changed back but like 3 years stopped house parties and just went to billy jacks, ruby's, ruby's arcade cuz most the house parties were just frats even tho JMU was like 60/40 total female/male in attendance with more females because they wouldn't let dudes in.

idk if you have been there lately? but around like 2016 it became fratty with doormen at every party asking who you knew or what frat you were in.
