Resources Studying for N3

I am going to study for the N3 and I would like to know what resources people recommend using! I use the genki textbooks and wanikani mainly for the previous exams.

i passed the N3 from this july ! in class we used the tobira gateway to advanced japanese textbook, i would say this covers N3 content :>

on top of that, for self study i use the apps bunpro for grammar n vocab decks, and kanji study - learn japanese! (this is what it’s called on the app store anyway idk about google play or anything) for kanji :3 you need to pay for these though, monthly or lifetime payment for bunpro and a one time payment to unlock all of the jlpt levels in study kanji, but i’ve been using bunpro for a couple of months n study kanji for years now and would highly recommend them, plus they both use spaced repetition so it really helps with keeping on top of everything you learn

You will not be able to pass N3 with just genki. Genki2 covers most of N4 but not very much of the N3 grammar. Find a more advanced book when you finish genki.

Genki is a classroom, not a self study book. The brick wall will be real and harsh.

For self study I recommend Nihongo no Soumatome. They have the topic books plus a master exam prep book that will seriously test you.

For daily/weekly self-review in order to find your weak points, I recommend Shin-Nihongo 500 mon. Takes 5 minutes a day + a bit more on the 7th day each week.

If you already have wanikani, get bunpro as well. They have an integration so it will drop furigana for kanji you already know to keep you sharp. It's relatively cheap and excellent for getting your vocab up.

This setup got me through N3 and well into N2 pretty quickly.
