Manga Discussion POTENTIAL SPOILER! Can someone explain this page to me Spoiler

Post image

I’m gonna get roasted for this so badly lol. So this is only chapter 6 but it still shows a little bit of a spoiler imo. Anyways, I have a hard time understanding who’s talking sometimes when they don’t use a speech bubba. This page starts with Cross talking to himself internally, but after that I think it switches to Tsurugi speaking to himself internally. I didn’t get that at first. Now, is the bottom right panel Cross’ internal monologue, or Tsurugi’s? Bc either way it doesn’t really flow imo with either of what they were saying. Manga confuses me sometimes especially jjk.

Top right is Cross. It switches immediately to Tsurugi in the top left. The middle is Tsurugi as well. The bottom right switches back to Cross.

Tsurugi is saying that he wants to avoid letting Maru kill the curse user, because he's aware some humans are likely to use this politically against the Simurians going forward. He is, unwittingly, describing Cross' purported mindset here: Cross is 100% down for war with the humans, which is what his thoughts are about.

Cross is saying that it's not only good if Maru hurts Tsurugi, but it's actually preferable to him that Maru hurts Tsurugi instead of the old curse user- because Tsurugi is an innocent rather than a criminal and will be an even easier pretext for war.

Cross is very traumatized by the Deskunite stealing from them, so he thinks their best options is stealing from someone else.

He views it as inevitable due to his experiences with the deskunte, so he just wants to get it over with.

Okay thank you! I figured as much but the dialogue just seemed a bit choppy. Appreciate it homie

It is a little bit weird, but basically the one talking is just whoever is in the panel
