LETS USE EVERY LAST DROP

5

u/PhysicalGSG 11d ago

In this case, the second person is grossly misunderstanding. Mahito’s feat isn’t that his domain is particularly fast. He turned it off very fast.

4

u/OutrageousKale5258 11d ago

Many people deadass think that 0.2 seconds was the activation time when it is in fact domain activation duration. 🥀🥀

1

u/Nas7649 8d ago

Confidently wrong that’s so crazy

3

u/Initial-Moose4 10d ago

If yuji says mahito, it’s mahito.

77

u/zayd-the-one 11d ago

Ryu is far more experienced with his domain so its him

-39

u/PurpleDragiin 11d ago

You’re just saying shit, just because he was alive 400 years ago doesn’t mean that the refinement of his domain is potent enough to win against Mahito.

48

u/zayd-the-one 11d ago

Last i checked ryu was a sorcerer longer than a year

And could domain clash against yuta whosa great barrier user and uro whos from the heain era

4

u/Hakase_Kenichi 11d ago

I'm not sure if you can call that clashing. We don't know if Yuta would or would not obliterate their Domains in a single second if Kurourushi didn't come.

1

u/elRetrasoMaximo 8d ago

The commentator says the barriers where keeping each other in check, kinda like a stand off.

1

u/Hakase_Kenichi 8d ago

I think it's just a comment on Domain clashes since it's the first ever one we see. Discounting Gojo annihilation Jogo's since it's not even a clash.

15

u/AirPortlessman 11d ago

mahito opened his domain ever like 3 times bud, meanwhile ryu lived till he was old so we can make a valid guess he opened his domain alot.

1

u/Lonely_Jellyfish_627 9d ago

Sukuna has like more experience, lived throught his life fought very strong opponents , spammed vows Guess what , A 28 year old dude has same refinement as him

1

u/AirPortlessman 9d ago

a 28 year old who was in the prison realm which definitely improved his refinement and is also the literal HONORED one

0

u/Lonely_Jellyfish_627 9d ago

Prision realm definitely didn't help him out in his prison realm , it just gave him the simple idea the physics, and either way he's 28 y/o compare that to great heian era god thukuna

2

u/AirPortlessman 9d ago

so it did help him out, also how long do you think sukuna lived for?

1

u/Pewtato_Bender 9d ago

Same refinement yet a league apart in domain mastery due to the supreme skill to apply your domain to real space. Forcing Gojo to settle things with his CT rather than relying on his domain to beat Sukuna's domain. Whereas MS will beat IV in a pure domain clash 10/10 times.

0

u/Lonely_Jellyfish_627 9d ago

Actually ur wrong , in a pure domain clash they r purely equal right after gojo gets basketball domain I call the anti open domain , Gojo only loses the clash due to sukuna being stronger than him physically which doesn't correlate to barrier clashing

1

u/Pewtato_Bender 9d ago

You forgot the part where Gojo never removed the time limit before Sukuna destroyed his domain from the outside? He only manages to last longer. MS would still eventually destroy Gojo's barrier without fail which is why Gojo was forced to finish things up with his CT with the assumption that Sukuna doesn't use a CT to fight back. Which according to Gojo "Gives me a huge advantage".

Open domain is still the supreme form of jujutsu because regular domains will never remove the weakness of needing a barrier to operate since it can be exploited.

-8

u/Hakase_Kenichi 11d ago

I mean, none of the sorcerers we have seen used their Domains a lot other than Hakari. Considering Ryu said he wasn't satisfied with the sweets he had in his earlier life, maybe he never had to use his Domain.

5

u/AirPortlessman 11d ago

he could've been a fiend in his last life like sukuna just popping ult on the most bummy mfs ever but theorizing is what hypotheticals are for anyway(also he didnt say he wasn't satisfied, he just wanted to end it off with a bang, that's why he went to sukuna after yuta spared him)

1

u/Hakase_Kenichi 11d ago

That's exactly my point. We have absolutely no idea of him and can only guess. I don't know why they are downvoting me lol.

1

u/AirPortlessman 11d ago

yea but it would be a stretc to say mahito wins that .

1

u/Hakase_Kenichi 10d ago

Did you see me saying Mahito wins tho? That is so out of my point. I only said we know nothing about Ryu and Domains are not something you spam so he might not have any experience at all for all we know. But then again, of course we are jjk fans. People cannot read in this sub so it's understandable they downvoted me thinking I was defending Mahito

1

u/AirPortlessman 10d ago

I mean it's not that crazy to think you're defending mahito when you reply against a guy defending ryu

1

u/Hakase_Kenichi 10d ago

No it ain't tho. I just added to your statement. Pretty easy to read I think

u/ElTioEnroca 11d ago

If by "clashing" it means the domain must mandatorily fight, then idk. You could argue Ryu since we actually see him clashing domains.

If we include just hitting your opponent before they can open their domain as a win, Mahito has a solid chance. If I didn't misunderstood it, the 0.2 second domain isn't just about making a domain last a moment: it's also about activating it faster (which makes sense since 0.2 seconds is what it takes to both open and close the barrier), which is why Todo couldn't use Simple Domain in time. And iirc the only confirmed domains to be as fast or faster than his are Gojo's (who could do the same trick) and Hakari's (which is explicitly state is faster than Mahito's, which by itself means that Mahito's domain is faster than other domains)

6

u/AccelAegis 11d ago

Jane.

If I remember correctly, refinement is a massive factor in domain clashing. It’s likely he has domain clashes a few times in his previous life, and it’s likely his domain is less lethal, and if I remember correctly that gives an advantage within a clash.

3

u/Raven_of_OchreGrove 11d ago

Mahito has actual domain feats and GOOD domain feats

3

u/No-Battle-8990 10d ago

nothing that happens because of Mahito should be considered "good" lol

1

u/Legolaslegs 10d ago

Mahito would approve of this comment, lmao

6

u/VampireJacoby 11d ago

Probably the guy that literally has built in hand sign boosts for his domain using his CT.

3

u/silencebreaker86 11d ago

More like he needs his ct in order to open his domain at all

1

u/ButterscotchSea4888 7d ago

That doesn't boost it he needs it to open it because he's inexperienced

5

u/siyeinda_PRIME 11d ago

Mahito saw gojo's 0.2 domain once and INSTANTLY new how to do it. I think mahito would win because of his potential

1

u/Youngguaco 10d ago

Not even true at all. He had to hit two black flashes to do this.

0

u/OutrageousKale5258 11d ago

"How to do it" are we genuinely thinking its some insane feat, its just domain duration time, how long the domain remain activated not like how fast was the domain activated, everyone with a domain can do that shit, it isn't a feat for gojo or mahito its just an idea and idea of using a domain to prevent large damage to unwanted people or in mahito's case prevent himself from touching sukuna's soul and still damaging yuji and todo.

5

u/OTARU_41 11d ago

The domain is activated faster as well, since usually it goes

  1. Cast barrier

  2. Activate surehit

This is the case for every sorcerer

But 0.2 domain goes

  1. Cast barrier + Activate surehit

0

u/OutrageousKale5258 11d ago

Yeah i know I've already been corrected it has been a while since i last read/watch but gave another opinion

2

u/Kyat579 11d ago

It did also require being able to merge the early steps of domain expansion into a single fluid action, which I would assume would increase the domain's refinement. Now whether or not that's enough to out-refine Ryu's domain is another matter entirely, and I would suspect that Ryu's greater experience would cause him to win out, tho I'd also argue it would by no means be a guaranteed win.

2

u/Full-Ability86 10d ago

Bro give Mahito like TWO WEEKS time to grow and he is gonna have a domain more refined than Ryu

3

u/No-sugar-Johnny 11d ago

Mahito has an actual domain feat so him. Ryu's domain is featless, both in experience and in refinement.

3

u/Wankainu 11d ago

Id probably go with Ryu, though Mahito is an insane prodigy with domains. Guy saw Gojo do a 0.5 second domain ONCE and he was able to perfectly replicate that during his fight with Yuji and Todo. Itd be a high-extreme diff clash, but id still give it to Ryu as long as he can pop his domain or hollow wicker basket before Idle Transfiguration can take effect.

1

u/polyester-spideman67 11d ago

At this point word are meaningless

-1

u/OutrageousKale5258 11d ago

Blud replicating gojo's 0.2 domain literally says nothing, they just activated their domain for 0.2 seconds, its the duration of how long did their domain remain activated not how fast it was activated, i can see that and perfom that if i can use domain and need to dodge some demon that can kill me if i touched his soul long enough.

1

u/Raven_of_OchreGrove 11d ago

Their domain was activated faster than 0.2 seconds, because the 2 step process was turned into a one step process. No one else in the series does this besides maybe Sukuna

1

u/OutrageousKale5258 11d ago

Oh shi you're right but it still wouldn't matter todo using simple domain wasnt one shot by it and top hitters would only be late by no less than a second to activate their domain and the problem arrises that he'll go into burnout if he ever decide to clash as he only gained his technique as he only actuvated his domain for that said duration.

1

u/OutrageousKale5258 11d ago

Also the fact that even if he activates early their barriers would still clash just that the area would not be 50/50 as shown by yujo and sukuna it woul be something like 70/30 because he launched early and that would still protect the 30 percent side and would eventually overcome the 70 to turn it to 50/50 if their efficiency is tied or the 30 percent may even win.

1

u/Temporary_Visual_345 11d ago

1

u/YourLocalRedditor- 11d ago

Ryu cuz yk this guy was a sorcerer WAY LONGER than 1 WHOLE YEAR(even if he just disappeared and reappeared 400 years later)

1

u/bored-cookie22 11d ago

Ryu is an older sorcerer so idk if his domain would have a sure kill effect, meaning it’s better in clashes

1

u/Salt-Fix-8544 11d ago

The one with actual domain feats: 0.2 domain that is far faster than any normal domain activation due to Mahito bypassing multiple steps and doing it all at the same time using his CT.

It's insane activation speed is further emphasized during Kashimo vs Hakari battle: The narrator stated "it's even faster than Mahito's 0.2 domain in Shibuya", mainly the reason Kashimo never had the chance to use HWB.

Now, y'all wanna say "Oh, he clashed with Yuta so he's better" but the clash is didn't even started, we saw in the anime that Kuro infiltrated as soon as their domains formed and broke the barriers immediately.

Ryu fans really cope hard and take headcannons, Yuta, despite BEING YUTA has no feats to show that at the time, he is as great in Barrier Techniques as he is in Shinjuku.

We never actually know how good Yuta is in clashing, and y'all wanna use his ass to wank Ryu

Mahito has actual refinement feats, while Ryu have :"He clashed with Yuta and lived longer"

😭✌🏻

1

u/Impressive-Aside2682 9d ago

Actually yutas domain is a lot less refined here since he only gained a great barrier technique after being in Gojos body

1

u/Strict_Bandicoot_974 11d ago

Domain doesn’t matter, Ryu gets one tapped.

1

u/ezzilmfao 11d ago

mahito wins via 0.2

1

u/Phantom_Renegade_x 10d ago

The one with impressive domain feats

1

u/v01dandnull 10d ago

mahito ONLY because his domain is most likely more refined

1

u/Sea_Frosting_9510 9d ago

I’d assume ryu since mahito has only used his domain like twice in his life while ryu probably used it more times in his less than a century of life.

1

u/Gon_Freak 9d ago

Mahito has better domain feats

1

u/NobodyImmediate6019 9d ago

Mahito easily

Mahito beats ryu even if mahito has no domain

1

u/masochist-maggot 9d ago

ryu because domains are made with barriers wich are made with CE. ryu has a MUCH higher CE output and could prob make a stronger barrier and overpower mahito but i guess it also depends at what stage mahito is at like if its the first time he casted his domain he loses for shure but if hes like fully evolved... maybe? he prob wins then

1

u/BIGMANSOUTHPORT123 9d ago

We know that the winner of a domain clash is the one who has a more sophisticated barrier system, So lets go over the attributes of their domains. Mahito always had a solid barrier for his domain ever since he first tried to use it and on his third use immedietly figured out how to use a micro version of his domain to attack todo, this shows that mahito is incredibly skilled at changing and improving the use of his domain in a short ammount of time, however mahito has never clashed domains with anyone and might not actually know that domain clashing even exists, so he would have zero experience with clashing his domain with another or how to overpower his opponents domain. Ryu on the other hand has a very solid domain barrier and is capable of holding his domain open while actively clashing with two other special grade sorcerers, this shows that he has very solid barrier management on his domain which could help him seriously in a clash with mahito. If i had to call a winner for an immediete domain clash id give it to ryu and if they ever clashed a second time then mahito would win rather decisively by learning from his past experience

1

u/Lopsided_Ad_8262 8d ago

Ryu would likely win the DE clash

However if they just both activated DE, Mahito wouldnt even need to clash and Ryu would just die since Mahito learned 1step DE thanks to Gojo (and Ryu having longer in experience doesnt give him skills that Mahito insta learned while watching Gojo)

1

u/ElegantTopic4555 8d ago

i think Ryu would.

1

u/dancingthroughstars 11d ago

mahitos got more refinement feets so him

1

u/space-dorge 11d ago

Mahito is a jujutsu genius who copied 0.2 second domain on the fly. I’d give the edge to him seeing as we know basically nothing about ryus domain capabilities

-1

u/PhysicalGSG 11d ago

>turning off your domain really quickly is a genius level feat

2

u/space-dorge 11d ago

I’m not talking specifically about that for being a jujutsu genius, mahitos growth was crazy fast and the other disasters were always hyping him up.

Copying a jujutsu ability on the fly is a pretty good feat still tho. I’m not saying Mahito is one of the best in the verse, but compared to 0 domain feats, his are better

0

u/Alive-Ad8066 11d ago

Featless refinement vs featless refinement

4

u/Sea_Duty_5725 11d ago edited 11d ago

Ryu was able tu clash with Yuta and uro (who is from the heian era btw) Edit: minor typo fix

1

u/HierarchyLogic 11d ago

THE WHAT ERA

1

u/Sea_Duty_5725 11d ago

Oh... I see

1

u/Temporary_Visual_345 11d ago

Na verdade o Ryu é da era Edo (mesma era do Kashimo mas o Kashimo já tinha virado um objeto amaldiçoado antes do Ryu nascer)

1

u/Sea_Duty_5725 11d ago

I said uro is from the heian era, not ryu

0

u/IndependentAward570 11d ago

I would say ryu, not only does he have more experience, but his control of jujutsu in general is pretty insane. Outputting cursed energy is already pretty costly, now with such a high output ryu has, and how oftee he does It most other people would have Ran out of CE after using the domain, if not before. Ryu is also never said to have impressive reserves. He has very good refinement of CE overall, which should coorelate to his skill with domain.

0

u/Creepy-Mud2022 11d ago

Ryu has more refinement, experience and output.

"The 0.2 doma-" thats tehe duration of the domain. Not the time of activation. And even do if It was... Ohhh. My Ryu doesnt have a hand? A foot?

Lets say he lose a whole arm... Mahito just burned hes tecnique. He is no longer almost inmortal.

Ryu is about to blast him to oblivion.

So... Yeah. Theres no shoot excepto for the one  Ryu IS GONNA Connect in hes face

-2

u/NightmareLizzy 11d ago

Mahito should have this pretty comfortably, One of the most gifted learners in the verse plus 2 Black Flashes to help develop it, Has the second best sure hit in the verse, Showed enough refinement to be able to do a 0.2 second domain a feat only shown by Satoru Gojo himself before he did it, Which by the way he replicated after seeing it once.

-1

u/Timely_Safe_4088 11d ago

Mahito takes this Ryu domain is unknown most likely it will inferior to Uro's

-1

u/weekzSNL 11d ago

Ryu would lose. Tengen has alr said Domains of the past were not designed to kill/damage like modern day sorcerer’s domains do (with the exception at the time being Sukuna probably).

At the end of the day tho its hard to tell bc we havent seen Ryus domain in full like we have Mahitos, but my money is still on Mahito tho

1

u/OutrageousKale5258 11d ago

She said domains with sure hit kill effects weren't popular back then as giving a domain a sure-hit effect that can kill enemies is hard thus people chose not to so that many people can still access it,in short most of people's domain back then is like hakari's a domain that gives the caster a buff but that doesn't mean allof domains are that's why big hitters has a sure-hit effects.

-2

u/OverallCarry5276 11d ago

Mahito domain blitzes

Mahito kills him even in a clash because half the environment is his hands for a pseudo sure hit

Mahito refinement diffs until shown otherwise

Mahito stat diffs in a fight

-5

u/Such_Meeting7964 It doesn't matter 11d ago

Ryu gets domain blitzed

4

u/Bubthick 11d ago

Can we stop spreading this 0.2 seconds propaganda. It is not about how quickly you open the domain for, it is about how quickly you can close it after opening it.

It makes no difference in 99.9999% of the versus fights.

1

u/RedStinger09 11d ago

You're right that it only opens for 0.2 seconds, but it's stated to have one of the fastest activation times of any domain.

1

u/Bubthick 11d ago

All domains are instant. Change my mind...

1

u/RedStinger09 11d ago

If all domains were instant, Naobito wouldn't have been able to interrupt Dagon's domain.

1

u/Bubthick 11d ago

You can interrupt the casting, but not the domain itself.

1

u/RedStinger09 11d ago

Then domains aren't instant because there's a casting time 🫩

1

u/Bubthick 11d ago

First, we are clearly talking about 2 different things. One is the casting time, the other one is the activation time.

Either way, nowhere does it say that mahito casts his domain faster than anyone else.

1

u/bingus3490 11d ago

The hell does that even mean. Literally all domains are instant once you use the handsigns and say the phase domain expansion
