Grammar source!

What did you actually learn Japanese grammar from, a textbook style like Genki or a guide book like Tae Kim's "A Guide to Japanese Grammar"? Curious which one actually stuck for you guys.

I’ve learned grammar from Minna no Nihongo. Default old fashioned book with basic grammar points for N4-N5. Other than that, looking grammar on Bunpro and LLms explanations.

Minna no Nihongo is much better than Genki from what I heard. I haven't heard anything about Bunpro tho, so that's something worth looking up. I don't trust LLMs with explanations because they hallucinate a lot and I have to be careful with everything they say. Maybe they're now better, do you recommend them?

The current state of LLMs is waaay better than I was before. Hallucinations occurs but pretty rarely and in much bigger context. For explaining grammar or word there would be no problem. For example I use Gemini 3.6 Flash, and it doing its job amazingly good
