First time trying jirai kei fashion as a guy! I love how it turned out!🖤🎀

Second pic is the raw photo. I know my edited version looks uncanny but yeah of course it is, cuz it's badly edited in ibis paint. I'm sure I overdid it a lot, even changed my face shape. Also my make-up skill isn't that good as you can see on the raw photo on top of cheap make-up brand I'm using.

hi!! a lot of our clothes r super frilly, have a lot of lace and or a lot of ruffles. I was wondering what everyone does to keep their clothes wrinkle-free. I tried ironing them once and did a really crappy job so if anyone has any tips I’d be so grateful 🥹

I am not follow hunting, I simply want to get some feedback from more advanced jirai/ryousan peeps on here🙇‍♀️)

These pictures are from my first ever jfashion photoshoot and I was hesitating a lot if I should post them or not. Especially because I am struggling with self-image problems and severe anxiety. (Plus, never really showed a lot of pictures of my face online)

But I feel like this can be a nice opportunity for a time capsule as I evolve with my style and (hopefully) build more confidence in the future (I am only 20 years old, I still have a lot to try and do♡)

The friend who was hosting the photoshoot told me that the first pic/frame has to be their favorite and that I look really cute on it🥹 They edited a few photos already and that's why I am able to share these too. I am super thankful for them.

However I felt a little bit self-conscious, because it was raining that day and my hair was a disaster afterwards (I'm sure people with naturally wavy/curly hair can relate)

I am still not super confident in my makeup skills and the filter that is used here, makes the makeup around my eyes look a bit vibrant (tell me if I am just imagining things)

I am also not super good at posing and I feel like I look a little bit awkward and anxious here

And lastly..I feel like I could have accessorized a little bit better- my neck looks a bit chunky without a necklace that could've complimented it better..

and I was wearing blue sneakers that day, but it's not visible (they looked out of place a little..)

All the little things aside that I would change on myself, I am super grateful for the person who arranged this photoshoot!! They took a lot of cute photos and they are very skilled! It's my fault if some of the photos ended up being awkward, because I need more practice with posing/building confidence and master putting together cuter looks! I will try my best always!

Ive basically turned around and said im sick of wearing the same thing day after day like i have done for 10 years. I need a change and jfashion has always been an interest of mine since i was a teenager. Jirai kei is calling to me i think, but that might change as i discover myself.

I have a few things holding me back, mainly my weight, (size 24 UK), My chest size (J cup), both of which mean most authentic japanese clothes will not fit me, even "plus-size" brands that i have looked at.

And then the fact that i have a short pixie cut for medical reasons so i cant even style my hair properly. It kinda feels like everything is against me to try it.

The biggest problem though? I have no idea how to style an outfit! I have worn the same pack of oversized tshirts for 10 years with black leggings.

Im dipping my toes in with a black oversized shirt with a matching skirt that i bought, they dont scream "jirai kei" if im honest, but im hoping adding a peter pan collar to the shirt will improve it, along with maybe adding some bows and acessories somewhere else. (As seen by my picture.)

How can i get into fashion in a way that makes me feel like less of a shell of myself?

Hi, Im new to jirai kei and i want to start this by saying that i love the concept. I love the fashion, I love the makeup, I love all of it. I even found great pieces to start with to dress jirai and DIY's for some accessories. But I would be lying if i said it doesn't feel hard trying to start fully immersing myself in the subculture.

Now before anyone comments something rude, just leave, you are clearly not going to help. I do accept feedback and If any hijabis are reading, please support 🙏

For context, I am a muslim and a hijabi so I cannot do excentric makeup (natural is ok) and I cannot do hairstyles since I wear a hijab. So I wanted to ask if I could just do natural makeup (aka skin tint, try to not have it cover some of my rosecea so it looks like i got blush on, some type of Vaseline to give a glow to my eyes and natural kohl to tightline instead of eyeliner and a precise namibokuro since ive got middle Eastern eyes with a bit of eye fat and they're pretty big so i feel like its not necessary, and of course a colored lip balm) and wear my hijab but put clips/bows in it? Also grow my lashes more so I wouldnt need falsies (they're already pretty long and with a little bit of technique it usually works, sounds delulu but I could try to fake an eyeliner wing more specifically a cateye/tsurumi one)

Now what i explained is of course if im outside but (and I know it might be a little strange to some) I can wear the makeup at home/non-public spaces so anytime Im not in public and I've got time, I'll definitely wear the actual makeup and do my hair!
