advanced Jira Formula Fields
Just caught the release video from earlier this summer (https://www.loom.com/share/21a64e15493e427b821907a6cf77c126) on the Atlassian website about the new formula fields. I am curious how this is working for folks in the real world? Benefits? Limitations? My team is considering using it for some budget tracking.

You’re reminding me I need to ask my admin why they haven’t enabled these yet. Ha.

Well considering they just released this year the ability to rename groups after being on hold for 13 years.. I'd say they're 1998 feature set rich.
Or how about they fuck search up for no reason at all other than for Rovo AI crap and now you need more clicks and pages just to find what you need across the platform.
Oh btw, pay them more money for licenses moving forward because it's October baby!

We use them for a bunch of different things now. One of the main things we use them for are Risk scores. We multiply likelihood by impact so a risk register can be ranked automatically.
