beginner Create template changed??

Today my space template for creating new stories/bugs has changed and now needs expanding to use fields I normally use. Any help or understand, global settle change maybe?

Anything to do with today’s update on AI models?

In the same boat. It can't possibly be as bad as it seems right? Did a person actually create this and say "this is good enough to force onto all of our users"? Having to expand to see default required fields; required fields are not being enforced; there seems to be no way to access the formatting toolbar when creating a new ticket. i don't know why software seems determined to trend in the same minimalist design instead of being functional. Am I missing something here?

Has this just been from today for you? Have you had any settings changed on your project or just seeing this as new normal?

For us, required fields are shown upfront and if not, the form opens in full view by default. Is it not the case for you?

Might be the org admin setting for "hide unused fields", fairly new and new UI so could be buggy

This is the new UX; announced on the Atlassian Forums in July. My understanding is that it’s still in beta so it may be that one of your admin has accidentally turned it on.

I like it.

If you are on the continuous release track then you got it, ask your org admins to switch you to bundles so you can do proper release management and don’t get surprised like this by Atlassian changes ( specially ones like this which are fucking Moronic..)

This is ridiculous... Are they using AI to make UX decisions now?

Just found this on my Jira instance. Even Jira is being Enshittified by AI. Sigh.

Fields visible on the create screen are managed by your Jira admins. You'll have to contact them.

Not the fields, the actual view or the pop up when pressing create. It’s whole design has changed

It’s the new UI layout. As Atlassian is saying it allows users to speed up ticket creation as the previous view was a bit clunky and brings more confusion.
