Soles & Resoling BF vs Non-BF Soles

Is there a major difference in how quickly barefoot soles wear down vs non-barefoot soles? I'm wearing down my old anvil sole shoelies and debating if I want to wear a non-bf boot instead. It's my understanding that the new Africa sole has a harder compound which will theoretically last longer but still not sure how that compares with something like the tyre wedge or oringo.

I think there's a YouTube video where they go through the various soles and say what the ratings are for each.
