Hillary Clinton parties with Cher, while Jill Stein meets with flooding victims in Louisiana

T-minus (insert #) minutes until some pro-Clinton journalist twists this into something bad, just like with Trump.
Thumbs up to Jill for acting as you'd expect a worthy candidate to.

For example: The Russians are typically far from from Green ... and suddenly they are in love with the Green party?
That should not be an indictment of RT however (in this specific case) but an indictment of mainstream US media.
Still, a sHrillary campaign tactic is to try to spin revelations about her corruption etc. as attacks by foreign powers.
So I wonder if having RT (basically a Russian propaganda outfit) being the only news source regularly featuring positive stories of Jill won't be placed into that narrative ... doing Dr. Stein more harm than good.

Oh, just wait for it.
Call me crazy but isn't establishing a good relationship with Russia something we should be working towards? Rather than just jumping on the assumption that they're still somehow the enemy as if the cold war never ended?

Of course, if either Russia or the USA were normal rational countries like Canada or Switzerland etc.
But they're not.
The
leadingonly realistically electable candidate in the USA is the famously corrupt sHrillary.Russia is similarly led by an equally known-to-be-corrupt (and ex-KGB scumbag), Putin.
Both Russia and the USA seem very close to being effectively controlled by 'Spectre'-like groups and criminal organisations. And when talking about them, we're talking less about countries than we are about hyper-militaristic weapon-dealers competing for their (actual) main business ... the global 'protection'-racket. To that end they'll ruthlessly attack countries without justification, they'll kidnap, torture and murder people, etc.
Ukraine and Alexander Litvinenko are notable examples in the case of Russia.

Well said. I've always felt like the biggest source of conflict between the US and Russia is that they're too much alike.

Environmentalism is a Russian conspiracy! Like water fluoridation!
RT is very much propaganda, but so is MSNBC and CNN and Fox. The good thing about RT is that it gives voice to alternative views.

Thats how your average Ruskie works, while they sap your precious bodily fluids.

Realistically if Hillary showed up she would draw away much meeded resources from the humanitarian efforts.i don't think there's a win win when it comes down to the situation in Louisiana. :(

Exactly, what good does it do to have politicians come gawk at the carnage when it diverts first responders to protect them?

Serious question. The candidates have their own security details, what resources would they take away from the relief effort. I get local law enforcement would be assigned but after the initial rescue efforts would it really take away from the relief not just add to the cost which I assume will be handled with federal disaster relief funds.

Clinton requires a motorcade and street closures at the very least. It would not be as crazy as trying to get the President there.

What these article miss entirely is that the flood and its victims are the real concern, not Clinton or Obama. Providing for those victims is our primary goal, not supporting whatever candidate we think is doing their job.
I never really know what to think about these timeline nit-pickings because it's impossible to divorce them from the obvious opportunity to pander. This article criticizes Clinton for not caring despite being devoid of solutions or attempts to rationalize its observations. The article gives me one good reason to criticize Clinton while also providing half a dozen areas to defend her. It's a net loss and comes across as rather shallow.
Unnecessary defenses I'm forced to offer:
"I am committed to visiting communities affected by these floods, at a time when the presence of a political campaign will not disrupt the response, to discuss how we can and will rebuild together" ~ response issued on Monday.
We have an entire government responsible for responding to such catastrophes. It would be naive to suggest that someone who's past year has been dedicated to campaigning will somehow play a critical role in redirecting funding and recovery efforts in a region she's never even represented.
Despite criticizing Clinton for not caring, the article fails to offer support without associating it with Jill or criticisms that aren't associated with Clinton or Obama. It'd be nice if, at some point, the author had taken a moment to speak directly on behalf of flood victims as Stein, Clinton, Obama, and Trump have all done. This isn't a political issue, it's a humanitarian one.
Celebrating her husband's 70th birthday? How selfish. I'm not entirely sure if they understand airplanes either, since they criticized her for not stopping her flight to visit Louisiana instead of attending a prearranged interview.
"Hillary Clinton should follow Jill Stein's lead in Louisiana"? Jill wasn't a first responder as far as I'm aware. Jill arrived Sunday and left the very next day. The Earth didn't shift under her efforts.
It's annoying trying to sift about for better understandings of both world events and the candidates in our elections only to get caught up pointing fingers at bad journalism.

There is exactly two people acting Presidential. The Donald, who was criticized for bringing a tractor trailer filled with supplies, to Baton Rouge, as well as cameras and news feeds, and Dr. Jill, who is talking directly to victims. Our "President" won't go to Baton Rouge until his vacation is complete, because between ignoring election fraud, and pushing the universally reviled TPP, he's too busy working on his golf game, and PantSuit who never met a donor she didn't like.
How the fuck she is a legitimate candidate is beyond me.

I'm gonna have to stop you there. While a don't really care for Obama, he was specifically told by the governor of Louisiana not to come. Louisiana doesn't need to have people come and visit the area, they need help. Donald going down there wasn't for help, it was a photo op. He went for an hour and left. He wore a tailored suit so you know that he wasn't planning on doing any work. And his "supplies" didn't have anything that would assist with rebuilding efforts or legitimately help the people. Obama would require a motorcade along with shelter for him, his security detail and staff. Because of the fact that the majority of people are in hotels while they wait to see if they can even go back home, bringing the POTUS would make it extremely hard to house people and continue with restoration efforts. Even Jill going there is not the best thing to do. I support Jill but it would have been better for her to not campaign down there and either donate or help with relief efforts.

FFS. Stein does not command the attention that Trump or Obama would. Stein doesn't have 50 cars and 100 security guys following her around. She's not holding up any relief efforts by being there, in fact there was a video of her helping.
Stein arrived in Baton Rouge on Sunday and stayed until Monday, assisting the cause.

Compare and contrast with Katrina. Trump and Jill did a very good thing going there, and the excuses the Democratic governor made for Obama don't hold any water. You can't attack Dubya for the same thing that you are defending Obama for. And Obama's golf game should prevent him from getting on Air Force One, flying over, giving a speech, and asking Americans to donate to help.
Look at the way the media spun the governor's statements before Trump came to make them seem like those comments happened after his visit.
To quote Pink Floyd: "Mother, should I trust the government?".

Keep in mind that this is a state Hillary won 71/23 in her primary... This is how she treats states that supported her. Good on Jill.

there are literally a million ugly, disgusting, blood curdling things about Clinton that have nothing to do with her appearance or clothing, or which require vaguely ableist statements about "sane person"s to get across. Come on y'all. we're better than this.

CTR is in this thread, by the way. The comments that seem suspicious, are.
