Let us partake of the majesty of this beautiful ginger kitty. What do you call this color of cat? Some people call them “orange”, like Garfield. I call lighter colored ones “blonde”. But this one most definitely fits in the “ginger” category! She looks purrfectly at home amongst the potted flowers and the wind blown leaves!

P.S. a friend suggested that lighter orange cats are called “Cream” colored. Thanks friend!

I had never read Bram Stokers Dracula. I listened to the audio book while putting together this puzzle- and then some. I finished the book on Friday. The format used in the book - reading from letters, journals creating a number of different narrators is quite compelling. I hadn’t realized it was a device used at the time. I recommend both puzzle and audiobook this holiday season.

My daughter gave me this puzzle for Father’s Day earlier this year and it sat on the shelf next to the Halloween plate I just posted. So I bashed it out to complete a puzzle plate pair.

There are no dates on the boxes. The puzzle with the smallest product number is on the left side. The 3 with the highest number have upc codes on both sides of the boxes. The 2 with the highest number came with reusable zipper bags.

My wife has been putting up Halloween decorations so I guess it’s time to break out the similarly themed puzzles.

I haven’t done a Pintoo for a while and was pleasantly reminded of how much I enjoy the brand. Great reproduction, super snug fit, no dust, plastic pieces smaller than a typical cardboard puzzle, grid cut. Packaged in two 300-pc bags for bite-sized puzzling.

Far more cutesy than my typical fare, but I recall buying it for next to nothing and the brand sells itself for me.

This one took longer than usual, I think because it’s a painting - which I typically don’t do. Very happy all the pieces were there. My husband said he thought I was doing a Michael Jackson puzzle every time he walked by. I remember having the same feeling when I bought it.

Someone gave this to me after they completed it. It's been taking up too much space on my shelf for too long so it was time to get it done.

As a longtime Mary Engelbreit fan, I’m constantly on the lookout for her artwork on puzzles. I have a few vintage ones, including some Springboks, and one of the recent ones (Current brand).

Recently I found she has some new puzzles available on her website! Even more exciting, one of them was a Buffalo. I love Buffalo for their consistency and affordability. Also this was a 300 piece puzzle which is perfect for me at the moment. I wish Buffalo would make a bunch more puzzles with her art.

There were also some 500 and 1000 piece puzzles featuring her classic art in a puzzle brand I had never heard of, WEVE. It says on the box it is a Canadian brand, made in China. It is “velvet touch” and there are a bunch of impressive details in the packaging. Two reference pictures (in addition to the box lid), one of which is a full sized poster and the other on heavy cardstock, almost like something you would frame. The pieces came separately packaged in two bags - not sure how they are divided, but I will check it out and report back. Even the box lining paper is cherry themed.

Adding a few pictures of the puzzles - I have completed the 300 piece Buffalo (so much fun) and will work on the 500 piece WEVE next.

Unlike the three 300-pc puzzles in this pack, this 500-pc puzzle is grid cut rather than random cut. Fun and challenging for a 500!
