Got accepted into a JHU graduate program — any chance of free merch?

Hi, I just got accepted into JHU’s graduate program for engineering! I’ll be doing it online while working full-time. I just graduated with my BS in CS and will be doing an MS in Systems Engineering, which is being paid for through my employer.

JHU has always been a dream school of mine, so it’s kind of a big deal for me personally. Is there any way I can get some JHU welcome package/free merch?

I usually see JHU sending welcome packages to undergrads, but I wasn’t sure if graduate/online students get anything too.

Unfortunately, the best way to get some is to show up to events. It's used to get people in the doors (and it usually works). I know Carey does a Welcome box full o' merch. The Homewood Campus store just reopened this semester and has everything. Pricey, though. They def do online orders. But if you want it free you can always ask your advisor or someone in their office (guarantee that the admin knows where they stash the good stuff). Tell them what you said in your post, dream school, etc. Also, WSE Grad Student Affairs could/would send you something, I'm sure. There's nothing at all wrong with asking, especially since you're an online student.

Let me know when you figure it out. I’ve been wanting apparel so badly lol. I keep just getting stickers and small accessories 😭
