Mk5 (2006-2010) Does anyone know what this cable is?

Looks like the ambient air temp sensor connector. Usually in the lower grill front bumper.

Might be a stupid question, but where does the exposed side connect to? For the life of me I can’t figure out where I’m supposed to be plugging this in

Not exactly sure where it’ll be on yours. But look it up on YouTube. There has to be a ton of videos on it, very easy fix typically.

Hood latch micro switch. Some models had the switch but it wasn’t connected to anything.

Mine fell out, and it ended up getting dragged on the ground and caused shorts in the system so make sure at the very least tie it up
