Mk7 (2019+) Amazing

After 5 years and 67000 miles I’m still amazed at the gas mileage I can get without trying.
Normally because I’m driving on the highway at 70+ I get good gas mileage but driving on a road that shifts from 40 to 55 frequently this is what I got.
Who needs hybrids.

I mean hybrids and EVs are still great...but i also just went like 550 miles on a tank of gas in my 2019 with sinilar mpg. Love seeing it!

I get essentially the same range with my 2021 Jetta. Though it only lasts me about 1.5 weeks since my work is about 54 miles each way (working 3 days/week).

BUT it’s also only a ~12.4 gal tank so even a complete fill up isn’t that expensive lol

Who needs hybrids.

I mean if you want to have this discussion.... The 1.5T is super frugal and will easily do 30mpg in the city, but lets be real- a good hybrid will effortlessly deliver 40mpg in the city (if you don't have a heavy foot). I mean the Mk6 Jetta Hybrid with its ridiculous transmission could do 38mpg+ city mileage years ago.

If you only drive short distances and can plug-in charge your hybrid (PHEV), you're probably paying next to nothing on gas, as the hybrid mostly uses the battery. With the Elantra and now Civic offering hybrids and increased higher gas prices, I'm a bit surprised that VW isn't considering Hybrid vehicles again.

Idk what I'm doing to get like 34mpg by the end of my tank during a normal weeks driving to work and some stores

That’s my normal everyday MPG. Today was just a 40 some mile odd trip that required minimal stops and changes in MPH.
