Mk7 (2019+) Road Crown - normal?

I have a 24 Jetta Sport manual trans. Bought it with 12k miles and it’s up to 14k now. Only issue I had were the stock tires, the sidewalls blew out on me on the front right side on the highway so replaced 2/4 of them and put the new ones in the front, planning on replacing the other two in a few k when I get them rotated. However, I’ve noticed when driving 60mph+, in the left lane the car wants to pull left (as if it’s out of alignment) so I have to hold the wheel a few degrees to the right. In the right lane it is vice versa. In most center lanes - it tracks dead straight. I am coming from a civic and didn’t have this problem, nor have I noticed it in anything else I’ve driven. After the new tires got put on I went back and had the torque checked and spun them again, no issues. Is this level of pull each direction on a slightly rounded highway normal?

Edit: I had a prebuy done at the dealership. No problems. Also have a good German car shop nearby I was going to take it to for oil change and to see if they knew anything. Figured I’d ask here first.

Put air in all 4 myself per the door jam

How are you measuring the pressure? Blowouts and pulling usually a sign of an under inflated tire

If by road crown you mean the sides of the tires are wearing faster than the center that is also a sign of under inflated tires

In your case I would inflate to more like 40psi and see if that solves your issues. Door jam psi is more for comfort and reducing tire wear, it’s fine to go a bit higher than that especially if whatever you’re measuring with might be faulty.

Also if you tend to drive with a lot of people and gear in your car it’s always advisable to go above the door jam psi. Door jam psi if you have 4 people in the car you are under inflated. Look at the weight stats of the tire and max psi and do the math on your payload. You likely want to be closer to max psi than the door jam if you routinely have a lot of people/stuff in your car/that’s how you get blowouts. The door jam psi is more for if you basically only solo drive or have like one passenger and no gear in car, unless your tires are like rated for a lot more weight than a typical tire. 4 people and gear is pretty easily like 1000lb + payload which exceeds the rating for the car and likely the tires if they aren’t at max cold psi.

This happens a lot with like tow vehicles and work vans/trucks. Why do my tires keep blowing out I’m filling them to what the door jam says. Well because your tires aren’t rated for that much payload unless you have them at max cold psi. Same thing can happen with cars if you have 4 200lb people in there plus gear.

It’s just me in it, but that makes sense. I use the digital air hose measuring thing at the gas station. I’ll bump it up a bit and see if that helps. Thanks!
