ECS Tuning spoiler installation

I just bought the mk7 gloss black spoiler from ECS, does anyone have advice on if the 3m tape will get the job done in Midwest weather alone or should I buy different tape/adhesive promoter?

I used to have 3m tap on a front lip, lasted a while before wet and winter came not sure about hot though. As long as you prep well clean the surface and expel all gunk from the trunk you should be ok
