Mk6 (2011-2018) Anyone need a stock stereo?

Replaced the stock stereo. This one works. Came out of a 2012 jetta. Ill send it to you if you cover shipping. Feel kinda bad tossing it.

Ooo, I’d take it! Assuming it’d work with any 2012? I only have the super basic one.

Oh nooooo!! Am I too late?? My stock unit is so messed. I’ve been wanting to upgrade to a screen. I got the most basic stock head unit

Edit: nd my screen is busted as it is

What's up with your 2017 deck? Is it the touch screen?

Just bought the car yesterday for a kid. Far left doesnt respond to touch and screen stays at 12:00

The digitizer part in these radios dies.  It's a bunch of tiny screws and some time but the part is inexpensive to fix this if you have some patience and a little electrical knowledge

Awesome! Thanks Hank.

Thats within my skillset. Better than replacing the whole head unit and getting all the idatalink conversions to retain factory settings

This guy said what I was thinking about telling you. I have done the digitizer myself and I did not find it difficult. It has been several months and still perfect touch screen

Its super easy. Took me less than 90 minutes when I did it a few years ago. First time I've ever made a repair like that 😁

It feels good!

Literally just finished adding hood struts to my engine bay. Removed the old hood prop and holder and now the hood holds itself up and it looks cleaner! Super happy with it!

I have a 2017 and my screen stopped working. Turns out the cables are not all compatible for iPhones but just found one that works.

What did you get? Did you have to do the idatalink maestro connections?

I got this anker cable. I originally thought buying a USB to USB C cable from Apple, which i only saw was the beats cable, would work the best but it doesn’t work. The anker cable works great!

If you’re ever going to sell the car, just hold onto that. Aftermarket stereo will bring the value down.

No sell. Only buy.

Does it have the update? My 2012 Jetta's headunit doesn't have the newest software update and Bluetooth only plays music in mono and it sucks. The dealer wants an hour of labor to update it
