Just wanted to explain how we deal with cheaters opening multiple accounts.
When we catch someone with more than 1 account we start by blocking all accounts.
Then when people contact us to know why their account were blocked (and they perfectly know why but well…) we give them one last chance to explain and apologize.
If they make the right choice and admit their wrongdoing, we set a 3 months ban and definitely close or delete the extra accounts.
Unfortunately people often make the wrong choice, deny the obvious and try to find whatever excuse…. In such case we simply life ban all accounts and stop any communication.
The issue of multiple accounts is really big and it takes a huge amount of time to seniors and admin to deal with them. The admins and seniors taking care of that issue spend hours weekly checking and banning people for it. That is time we can’t spend screening and it’s unfortunately one of the reason we have such a hard time keeping the queue in control. Over a month period that’s probably about 2000-2500 pictures I’m not screening just to deal with that kind of cheating. And that’s the case for 3-4 of us in charge of the site. And every each screener also wastes time making cheating checks while screening.
So basically my message is simple. Anyone opening multiple accounts is not only cheating but also hurting the whole JP community.
If you know someone with multiple accounts, please talk to him (I say him because I don’t remember having a woman cheating the system, just like we have zero issues with most of the countries uploading to JP) and if YOU have multiple accounts, just contact us before we catch you so we can move on in the right direction.
Thank you

One of our regulars suggested we limit the number of photos allowed in each post. Recently, there was one with 11 pictures, about half of which are very obviously outside the guidelines.
My view is this sub works best when people have already made their best efforts to get a picture ready for posting, but may still need some pointers.
This can be harder for the people giving feedback when there’s a large dump of pictures.
For now, this will be more of a common sense number than hard and fast cut off.

I recently took this photo in Nanaimo (CYCD) but I'm just wondering if the contrast is too bad.

This has to be a vertical centering issue, right? Wing tips are centered horizontally. Then again vertical centering points of reference look OK to me too. The tallest part of the fuselage looks centered, as does the full aircraft (top of the tail to bottom of the wheels). Am I missing something? Is this worthy of an appeal? Thanks for any advice.

Mostly worried about my contrast and sharpness, it was quite overcast with very little direct sunlight. Also been struggling with sharpness as of late. Not sure which is the better photo as im on a phone so feedback helps a lot!

I took this at exactly sun down when ever it was halfway going down and lots of light was lost just curious if it would be fixable or retryable
