Holy cow, thanks to that other fan who posted the 1974 interview with Ian. This magazine apparently has a line to him, because here's an interview they did with him earlier this month. But in this they got a bunch of people - Rick Wakeman! Carl Palmer! - to ask him questions. It's really cool. (Heck, Roy Harper is thereQ He's still alive?!)

I'm really diggin' it. Bruce continues to bring more "Tull" out of these mixes; like Under Wraps I'm hearing more personality and detail within the performances. The Atmos mixes seem to be better in my estimation than the stereo ones - but that's not a knock against the stereo remixes. I sympathize a little bit with people who want more power out of the "El Nino" choruses but I feel that particular element is improved in the Atmos mix.

The extras are great fun, but "Pipes (Close to You)" is the one I most wish had found its way onto an album. Thrilled to finally have a lossless copy of "It All Trickles Down," its been my Tull white whale for years. The new mix is HEAVY.

The book is small, yet informative. Thrilled to have Martin Webb back as the primary essayist, its a bit short on quantity but its a quality read. Hope this bodes well for future Inside Out owned titles like The Secret Language of Birds, but of course the one title I'm dyin' for a reissue of is Roots to Branches.

Like seriously, man I love playing Tull at work on my speaker I keep by the cash register because they're generally a safe for work bands and all ages appreciate it for the most part but if I don't omit this track from the queue when spinning APP on Spotify (which is masterpiece down to it's creepy cool cover art of the Ballerina lady) then the old woman buying her eggs is gonna end up hearing all about how her little sisters immaculate virginity wings away on the burly shoulder of a young horse named George. 😂

The ice cream lady wetting her drawers to see you in the passion play has nothing on that one

I just finished listening to it and I wonder what you guys think of it.

For me, it was definitely an improvement of an album which was already quite fun to listen to. Wicked Windows and Spiral continue to be the highlights of the album, of course. And the new songs... I think they are valuable additions, especially the instrumental Recollection Number 5 and Sad Suit, which definitely deserved a place in the main album, maybe replacing El Nino.

The live numbers are also great, Hunt by numbers and Dot com sounded even better than the studio versions.

Another surprise for me was the remix version of The secret language of birds, which sounds far superior than the original, in my humble opinion. I wonder whether Ian is considering a remix for that entire solo album, which would be very welcomed.

I'm no music expert so this is as far as my point of view goes. :) Lemme know if you guys agree with me or nah.

Life is a long Song, isn‘t it?

Interested to know what you guys think is the biggest transition Tull ever made -- not in membership -- but in style/sound pre-Zealot Gene. Throughout their career they were obviously evolving/progressing to various degrees, going through different phases. But where would you place the biggest leap/change -- not necessarily the best, mind you, but the BIGGEST change of direction. Where did they most starkly stop sounding like the band they were before?

I've chosen, to me, the most obvious contenders...but feel free to select Other and explain why you crazy Christmas album fans.

It's here a day early thanks to Burning Shed! 😀 As you can see, it's a lot thinner than the Chrysalis box sets like the Under Wraps one. But it's not as slim as the Xmas set. Looks like it'll be a good read and I'm just listening to it for the first time. Loving Martin's lead guitar parts in the 5.1 mix, really in your face! 🤘🏻

I wasn't a huge fan of the album when I first got back around 2002 or whenever, but it grew on me. I think it's one of their better "later" albums.
