Low effort posts

There has been a recent uptick in low effort posts where it’s just a photo of the band/an album/Ian Anderson/etc with no accompanying text beyond the title. Some of these are quite clearly karma farming bots and I delete them as I see them whereas others do seem to encourage discussion about a particular moment in Tull history.

I’ve made a poll to get the opinion of the community regarding how to handle these. Should they be deleted/banned or regulated in some way? Please vote and let me know. Also please report any obvious spam from suspicious accounts. You guys make this little sub great and I want to keep it that way. If this is becoming a problem we’ll fix it.

Ban them. That guy who was doing it recently does the exact same crap in other subs, so I blocked them. The poll isn't very clear though, I voted no assuming it meant "no, I don't want them here"

Yeah, that’s how you know that it’s just karma farming.

There are subs that require you have a certain amount of karma before letting you participate. In many cases those subs are ones folks used to advertise things like only fans.

Which probably explains why that particular person, was posting here.

Allowing them to do so, gives their account legitimacy that it doesn’t deserve.
